Great game for phonics
I use this with some teenagers who are English Language Learners. They struggle to sound out words, and they love this game. It’s like Uno but it helps them practice their vowel sounds through reading simple words.

Best game for learning phonics, spelling and vocabulary
My grandson absolutely loves this game. It’s kind of like Uno, very easy to play. You start with five cards and you have to put down a card with either the same vowel sound or the same beginning letter. There are also wild cards that let you change card suits. The kids have to say the word on every card they put down, so it really reinforces their reading and pronunciation. The first player to get rid of all their cards says “I win!” usually followed by “Let’s play again! Let’s play again!” It’s almost like they’re being tricked into learning. There are two decks, one for short vowels and one for long vowels, so it’s two games in one. Schools should use this game, kids just love it. I like it too, it gives me something fun to do with my grandson and I feel like I’m helping him learn.

Fun learning game
This is pretty fun for young people to interact with adults while learning as well. It is sort of like Uno but with words.

ESL/ENL students love this!
I love how easy this game is to play and how my younger students enjoy it every time. I have had them sort the long vowel cards by the different spellings. I really like that there is a short vowel and long vowel set of cards.

Love this game!
My students LOVE this! And so do I! It’s like uno, but with words. It’s fun and engaging. It’s great for reviewing word decoding and chaining.
