Fantastic for pixies!
This paste works well for my pixie cut. It has just enough hold to control everything while not being excessively stiff or sticky and has a natural finish so that you don’t have the plastic-glazed look. As someone who has migraines that are triggered by strong fragrances, I appreciate the light scent which seems to fade away almost immediately. Even though this product is good, I will only reorder when it is on sale since I can find other pastes at a better price. (This was a Prime Day purchase).

I recently got a pixie cut and my hair is normally quite unruly no matter how long or short it is. And this paste works to tame all of my weird little waves and my frizzy little curly cues. In fact, I can’t even create waves and curls where there are none. I love this stuff. It smells great. It works great. I highly recommend it. Just don’t buy the last of it because it’s sometimes hard to find.

Miss the old formula…
For years, I used the shaping cream and was a happy shopper. But as it usually goes, once I find something I like, inevitably, it gets discontinued and changes. This was the closest formula to the old shaping cream recipe. This one has a bit stronger hold, and less shine, which is OK with me. There was just something about the texture of the old cream that allowed me to style my hair a bit easier before.As a side note, I struggle with seborrheic dermatitis and oil build up. I haven’t yet figured out the ingredient that causes it, but there are a lot of styling products that cause my condition to flare up. SexyHair products don’t seem to have that, which I GREATLY appreciate. So if you have seb derm, this product may be your ticket.

Good product for the price and holds well.
I like this product very much. It is a soft paste and it disappears in the hands yet when applied to the hair it holds it beautifully. I have a blonde pixie and I like paste to help add texture and hold the style. This has no real smell, thank goodness! The past is the consistency of a soft creamy texture. It washes out very well and leaves hair ready for the next application. I use it after I have washed my hair and dried it first. It does not require more than the size of a nickel before rubbing between two hands and applying to the hair and arranging as desired.

This is more like dry paste, very hard and for female hair not quite recommend fully. I still like Redken paste for texture better. Plus is absolutely overpriced. I want my money back!

I’ve been using this product for close to five years, if not more, can’t remember. Yes, the formula has changed. Is it different, not enough for me to realize until seeing the reviews on amazon. The only real different is the scent and the texture is a bit creamier.As for the product, I’ve tried so many other products in the last three years, in an attempt to find a replacement, not due to lack of satisfaction, but for evolution, thinking there is something better. I’m still very unsuccessful in my attempt.What you can expect from Sexy Hair Styling Paste: a pliable, all day reworkable, medium hold, low-medium shine paste. For styling, it provides a silky texture and definition while styling. I find the more you work it during the day, the better is looks. Your hair won’t become hard or dry, it really does have a silky texture when in your hair. My hair is medium/short length, wavy and med thickness. I would recommend.
