I have not yet had the opportunity to try this product on an actual fishing excursion; however, my indoor inspection and testing of the product have left me very satisfied. The folding and telescoping features of the net and pole are easy to utilize. And the pole appears to be reasonably sturdy when fully extended.The product is compact and light enough to be an easy addition to my backpacking gear for my longer hiking trips into the wilderness. It is also easy to attach externally to the daypack that I use to carry my fishing gear when I am driving to a fishing location.It would be nice if the product came with a velcro strap to wrap the net tightly around the collapsed pole when it is being transported. Another nice addition would be a stuff sack to compress and protect the netting when it is being transported in a backpack or other gear carrying bag. These items are easy to buy separately and I will do so to help keep this equipment protected.As most of the fish I catch weigh under 5 lbs with only a few of the bass or catfish I am lucky to catch even roughly approaching 10 lbs.; I believe the netting will be sturdy enough to hold whatever I catch without sustaining any tears or damage. However, for someone who wants to use this net to land bigger fish, I would think they may encounter some problems with the net tearing.In summary, this is a pretty good and easily transportable fishing net for a very reasonable price.

The material is nice, folds up efficiently and nicely. Net was woven nicely and fit onto the metal part well. Portable and easy to carry. The metal handle however is very cheap. I catch lake fish in Cape Cod, the net’s base didn’t even last a day of fishing before it snapped in two.
