Fun!
This review is for: Coding Games in ScratchThis may be targeted for kids, but I got it for myself, lol. I’ve been dabbling in a couple coding languages and thought I would give this one a shot.It’s got some fun little projects in it. It’s explained really well. There are lots of graphics to help you along.So even though I think this is geared for kids, I would say it’s appropriate for any age.

I got this book for my 10 year old. He likes to play games so I thought maybe he would like to create one. I also found out that they use Scratch in school. This book was easy to read and follow. It gives out the step by step instructions and was not all complicated. He even created his first game.

I have been working to get my kids interested in coding and stumbled upon this book and thought to give it a try. My kids are bracketed on either side of the recommended age but they both enjoyed it equally.The simplicity of the book and the language let the kids develop games quickly but they then have been able to turn some of them into more complicated and fun games to play.The book provided a good guide for them to put some things into place by themselves, but they did have to rely on me to get over a few roadblocks.Overall, it was a fun book that I hope they can carry forward the lessons into other projects.
