We love this product so much. My daughter washes her hair at night and by morning it is used to be chaos. Now her curls are intact in the morning. A little spritz of water and a dab of curl cream and they look pretty reasonable. Picture is in the morning. For products we have tried, this one has the least intrusive smell and it doesn’t seem to linger.

First time purchasing , and was impressed! First off , love the packaging . As far as the product , I was impressed that it helped my curls without making them greasy. At first I was a little Leary when applying the conditioner because it did feel super slick and oil like. But it did a fantastic job with defining my curls . The smell was cookie like but very subtle and not overbearing. I really enjoyed the hair cream as well. A little goes a long way! I will be purchasing again in the near future !

The smell is awful
As far the product goes with making my kiddos haro soft and manageable, it’s great, the smell though. My goodness it was really bad and my kids hate it! Thankfully the leave in product has a different smell and that smells great so I hid the shampoo and conditioner smell well. I had to throw it out after we used it once and there was no way I could keep it. I did keep the leave in though, that’s not bad. Just smells very “fake” and full of chemicals of that makes any real sense. Just very strong to the nose.

Iâve been using the curl cream for about a year, itâs heavenly in its smell and i get a nice curl all day that I can run my hands thru⦠no gel/mouse crunch/stick. So I tried the shampoo/conditioner⦠I may need to get a second job to pay for thisâ¦. Not that itâs very expensive , Iâm just really cheap⦠my hair smells damn amazing, my curls are staying, and I havenât even put in the curl cream yet. I think I just had a minigasim.

Soft, Bouncy, Touchable Curls
I have naturally wavy/beachy curls, but struggle to get definition without frizz and crunch. Typically without crunchy, stiff products, my curls loose their luster. I just used this Cake Curl Set (Curl Girl Shampoo, The Curl Next Door Conditioner, and The Curl Friend Curl Cream) for the first time last night and am already obsessed!! Super hydrating & thick shampoo and conditioner. I donât typically use curl creams because they are too heavy and make my hair feel nasty the next day, but not this one. It is perfect! This is next morning hair out of bed in the pictures!! The products smell amazing, and my hair feels incredible and my curls looks gorgeous!! Like Iâm ready for the beach ðï¸ ladies! I highly recommend. Super simply system with great results!! Iâm a minimal product kind of gal, and this set fits me perfectly.

worst smelling product
I purchased this product line hoping after reading most of the reviews it would be great. I got the package and it had leaked all over everything in the box. I thought it smelled a little on the weird and herbal side. Used it and felt it had great slip, and seemed like it did a good job of keeping the frizz down and defining the curls, but… that smell was a bit more beyond herbal and I felt it was just not worth it to move forward. All three products had the herbal bad garden smell. I thought maybe with my sensitive nose my daughter would like it. She told me she had tried it, and it is supposed to smell like frosting. Ok if that is true that is some really off frosting and I suggest you run far far away. She also said she had her products go smelly as well, and it was like a rotten weed smell. I let the stuff sit at the edge of the tub for a week and told myself maybe I am just too sensitive, picked up took a smell and for sure it was much much worse. I will not purchase this product again. I would not suggest it to anyone, if it is unstable enough to go bad like that it is a sign it is not good for anyone. I was really hoping it would be good, but no.

Best curl cream I’ve found for my hair. For reference my hair is pretty damaged (it gets dyed often), it’s fine but there’s lots of it. Naturally it either curls into ringlets, wildly frizzes, falls into loose waves or hangs somewhat straight. Unfortunately, it usually does all of that at once unless I’ve wrangled into some semblance of order with hair products.Curl Friend actually can make even my wild hair look pretty great! With this, I get nice curls that hold pretty well, even without gel or mouse as long as it’s not going to get windblown, rained on or touched a lot. Plus it keeps it soft, shiny, frizz free and it’s vegan!My Method:In the shower I rinse the conditioner out with my head flipped upside down, then scrunch out most of the water (head still upside down), then scrunch in some of this cream and plop my hair into a microfibre hair turban towel.I leave it in the towel for a few minutes to remove excess moisture then gently remove the towel (head upside down again), then flip my head up and gently (GENTLY!) arrange any curls that are out of place (falling into my eyes or sticking straight up or out for example). Sometimes I’ll add a tiny bit more curl cream if there are still frizzy bits sticking out or if the ends feel dry, then let it air dry without touching it further.I know that sounds like most of the product ends up on the towel, and I’m sure some does, but this is the best method I’ve found to wrangle these unruly curls into order.Honestly, this stuff is my holy grail of hair products! It’s vegan, my hair seems to love this stuff and it smells heavenly!
