    For Adults, Too!
This was a nice, simple summary of events leading to and through both wars without a lengthy introduction. Once read, you have different avenues to explore if you want.

    History is indeed brought alive
Unlike my husband, I am not a history nerd, especially relating to WWI and WWII. He tosses words like, “Battle of the Bulge,” and I think he is referring to a woman’s losing metabolism with age. With this book, I learned it had to do with WWI in Britain. You can fact-check me. That is how great these two books are in making you want to learn. The authors are fantastic in their ability to draw correlations children can understand. For example, the authors talked about bullying with Hitler. They described how disconcerting the Japanese-Americans must have felt because they did not look American. They were used as spies against their ancestral land and prove allegiance to America.Looking back at my 11th grade history book, it is pitiful how little knowledge I gained in comparison to the richness in detail these books provided me about the great world wars. The abundance of information and relevance to situations children can relate to had me reading late into the nights. I will be reading other books History Brought Alive has provided.I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

    WWI AND WWII SUMMARY
Excellent historical view of World War I and World War II that is perfectly understandable and uses a few citations and support. Written in a simple and interesting prose for kids but accurate as a summary for adults.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

    Tons of facts
I wish that this book would have more pictures other than one for each chapter. After all, this is a book “for kids”. I would suggest the reading level for this book to be in the 10 – 12 year range. I would actually increase this age range except that some of the writing is a little “young”. For example, taking a time machine or a magic carpet is more for the younger set.On the other hand, as someone who was never interested in history (and who didn’t do well in those classes), I wanted to learn more now, as an adult. I am sad to say that I know little more than I did 50 years ago. The sheer number of facts being given out here left me reeling. The book is written well and there is definitely an audience for children that are “into” the world wars and history in general. For the rest of us, it’s a lot to digest.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Bought this for my daughter who loves learning about history. She really enjoyed the book and she found it really interesting. She learned new things from this product. There are even some activities that she could do after finishing the book.
