What a fun, positive book!
I’m a school counselor and I have all the Ninja books. They have straight forward messages about kindness, feelings, coping skills, and character traits that we need children to develop. They are perfect for elementary age students! The pictures are colorful and fun, the messages are clear and to the point, the ninja’s interact with one another in such a positive way, and they are written in a language that children enjoy and understand. This one for me was so much fun! It rhymes and builds throughout the story and I felt excited reading it. Page 15 was one of my favorites! My only suggestion is instead of “No bullies”, or “No bully zone” written on the Buddy Bench, maybe it could have a more positive and uplifting message, like “Include Everyone” or “Kindness starts with YOU.” Just an idea.

Excellent book for School Social Workers and Counselors!
I can’t recommend this book enough. As a School Social Worker, I focus a great deal on kindness and inclusivity when working with students. We have a Buddy Bench at our school, and every Fall I do a short presentation about how the Buddy Bench is used at our school. I can’t wait to use this book with my students. The pictures are bright and cute, the story is engaging, and the rhyming makes it possible to read the story in a much more engaging way. If you have a Buddy Bench at your school or you’re thinking about getting one, this book is a must-have. Even if you don’t have a Buddy Bench, this book is a great book to teach kids the importance of kindness and being a good friend.

Awesome book about kindness!
I loved this book! I am putting it on my list for a First Day of School!, We need more kindness in the world, and what better way, than to read Kind Ninja and the Buddy Bench on the first day! It will be an awesome way to build a community of leaders and learners. We have a buddy bench on the playground, and this will be a great tie in! The colors in the book are vibrant, and the rhyming words keep it flowing. There wasn’t a part I didn’t like! Wonderful!

Buddy Bench, a great idea and a great story!
Such a great concept to install a buddy bench in all the playgrounds across the world! I love this concept and the author was able to create a story where children can get involved in helping other kids!The story is written in short, sweet rhythmic verses that are fun to read and fun to read aloud to kids! I can see this book being added to classroom libraries. Great for kids to read and share.The verses on each page are easy and fun to read. Another great story of Ninja Life Hacks!

I absolutely love this book! What a great idea and how cool would it be for children if more schools were able to help do something like this? I hadn’t heard of this concept so I was thankful to have a book about it to share with my grandson. Itâs very colorful and attention grabbing. The rhyming words help the younger readers understand but the language is also suited for older readers as well. Great book!

The Best Ideas Come From The Kids Themselves
This was a great book that talked about how the Kindness Bench came about. After I read this to my class they decided to make a Set of Chairs that can be Kindness Chairs in case someone needs a friend.
