Easy & comfy to use – Happy bluetoothed records!
I wanted a wrist cuff because the arm cuffs hurt making my pressure rise from the stress. Many say that wrist cuffs are not as accurate — but the Meraw Aspen seems to be fairly accurate for me. I have not taken it to my dr ofc to compare the measurements as yet though. I like that the unit easily bluetooth-connects to my phone where I installed the Meraw app. I wish Meraw would allow me to add a comment of my own, but it does have a few pre-set comments that one can attach to a reading. The app saves date, time, BP readings and pulse rate. It is very easy to use and indicates when you have your wrist at the proper angle to your heart for an accurate reading. It will also indicate where your measurements land on the blood pressure spectrum. I find it comfortable to wear on my wrist while taking a reading. I take my watch off and place cuff on my wrist with the “computer” monitor on my inner wrist. Breathe calmly and slowly and you will have a measurement quickly. White coat syndrome is a real thing, and my doc will be pleased to see my relaxed-at-home numbers have normal consistency. Does not come with a carrying-case, but I keep mine in its original box because it fits in its box perfectly.

Nice to have a blue tooth
Pretty easy to use, the sound the device makes is rather strange and not pleasant. Compact size to take on a trip but why is there no box to keep it in included? I give 4 stars for that only reason, please consider including a sturdy storage box. The blue tooth keeps a record automatically on my phone which is nice.

Worth the extra cost
Extremely easy to set up and use. My previous wrist cuff always felt like it barely fit, but no problem with this one. I love that it was backlit (I didn’t realize how nice this was until I had the feature). The other thing I really like is that there is a signal on face that lets you know if your arm is too high, not high enough or just in the right position; that’s a huge help! I have the app set up on my phone to receive the data but haven’t really gone back to look at it, but it seems like a good feature to have. I saw other wrist style blood pressure cuffs for much less but the features I’ve mentioned weren’t on my other unit & they really make a difference. Also, the read-out is large and easy to read.

Not Accurate
Absolute crap. I compared this to both to a professional machine at the doctor office and it’s just not accurate. I also know how to take blood pressures myself manually as I was an EMT a few years back. My BP is horrible, usually systolic usually between 130-140, diastolic 80-90 and I take it with this machine and it spits out random numbers.Check then chart I attached, it’s just random and not repeatable. When you take someone,s blood pressure repeatedly, it will usually increase due to the vascular stress on the appendage, not decrease substantially. I can’t rely on this and I GUARANTEE you, it’s not user error. It’s not how I’m using the device. I read the manual, I checked multiple positions. Probably took close to 30 readings. Just. Not. Repeatable. Don’t put your lives in their hands!I was going to get this for my grandfather because he has large arms but instead, I also bought a withings bp connect that I intended to use for myself. Upon testing it, it was VERY accurate and repeatable. I will be ordering a second withings bp connect and I’ll be giving mine to my grandfather. It will also let me monitor my grandfather’s blood pressure remotely and check in on his readings. I’m happy because with withings seems to work on the lower arm which alleviated size concerns.If you have the money and want reliability, go with the withings instead.

Excellent monitor
The device is very accurate and easy to operate. The interface with the smart phone setup was very easy and automatic. It saves the reading on the device as well as synchronize it with the app so you can make a printout before seeing your doctor. The reason I only gave 3 stars is because the technical support is awful. I sent an email with a very simple question and until today (over one month later) still did not get a courtesy of an answer.
