A terrific shoe at a great price
These are my first pair of minimalist shoes and I am very pleased with them. I have narrow feet and normally wear sneakers in a size 9.5. I purchased these in 9.5 wide and they fit perfectly. The shoes hug my feet and are very light. Inside, they have a thin removable insole that helps when walking on hard surfaces. I be wearing them with the insole because it does not reduce their flexibility and I’m not quite ready to go with a fully minimal foot bed. The quality is really good. The shoes are light as a feather and as comfortable as a pair of slippers. They also look great with jeans or shorts. These are an excellent choice whether you are new to minimalist shoes or just want a pair that doesn’t cost a fortune.

    Very good product
I just recieved the shoes so this isn’t an endurance review. I feel the shoes very confortable, very good materials and flexibility. The width is just as good as they mention, and the grip is awesome. They’re very light and the size chart is very accurate. I’m very happy with my purchase so far. Will upgrade if anything negative shows up

Great, light shoe for the price point
I’m a Keen shoe only human, but gave these a try and I am really impressed. Super light, seem like they will be durable, and have comfortable arch support. I will buy these again in a different color. Only down side so far, is that I can feel the rocks/ gravel pushing through the soles when hiking.

Excellent at the price and stylish too!
I purchased a black pair on a hunch and was so pleasantly surprised that I bought a dark grey pair a few days later. Zero-drop shoes are most comfortable for me when exercising and for casual wear. In the past, I purchased Altras for both. Altra stopped making the simple black casual shoes. The newer model running shoes don’t appeal to me. And both styles are overpriced at $120-$140. These feel great. They’ll equal the short life of Altras, and they’re suitable for casual business dress, all for significantly less money. The sizing is European, so if you’re on the line (I’m between a 10-10.5, size up).

short laces/ outsole wears out quickly?
I just received these, so I will update when I have further experience with them. But like other Whitin shoes, these come with short laces, so I need to buy longer laces. I’ve had to do this with 2 pairs of Whitin recently, so be prepared to add the extra price $$ of new laces to your purchase. Is this the new style now, just enough lace length to struggle to get it tied? But I will say that they feel comfortable right out of the box.I’ll update on durability later…Update: I really like these shoes, but the lugs on the bottom are beginning to show wear after somewhat limited use. I think they’ll still be usable for a while (with some flat spots), but it’s too bad that the treads aren’t more durable.

    Fit well, very comfortable
I use these for squats and they’re very comfortable. They feel very natural and I don’t notice them when working out. They appear to be well made as well

The most comfortable barefoot shoes I’ve tried
Been trying to find the right barefoot shoe for running and general fitness, and this is the shoe I’m keeping. I tried models from Xero, Vivobarefoot, and Merrell but ended up returning them all. This shoe is comfortable right out of the box. The toe room is generous but not excessive. I’d estimate my feet to have a pretty average shape, and the Whitin accommodates them well. For additional reference: I also ordered Whitin’s more general-use barefoot running shoes (the one that’s #1 in Men’s Track/XC shoes), but found the toe to be more restrictive and the heel to slip. There’s a good chance I’ll return those. They did teach me, however, that Whitin seems to run a bit small, which is why I ordered a 12 in the trail shoe as opposed to my usual 11/11.5. It would be nice if they did half-sizes, but I’m pretty sure the 11 would be too tight for me.

    Takes some break-in time.
These took a little time to break in. They’re not super wide, but they do eventually stretch out.The color is great. The laces are not so great. They’re a bit short and can’t hold a knot well so they tend to slip. They breathe pretty well compared to most knit shoes. The grip is actually pretty good on these. I find that I slip a lot less than I do in other flat-tread shoes. The soles are not holding up too well. I wear these about five days per week, and walk about 15-25,000 steps per day. After about two months, the lugs were worn completely off in the shape of my feet.If you’re looking for a cheap barefoot shoe that holds up decently (but not fantastically), these are them.
