Terrific product
The upgrades for this sonic cleaner have highly elevated an already strong product. The cleaning itself takes the overnight “grime” off my retainers and leaves them feeling and looking clean and new. I even had some coffee stains from when I had to wear them all day, and the stains came out! (And yes, I did not want to give up sipping my coffee all morning just because I was wearing a retainer.) The jewelry I have put in there looks shiny and sparkly. This model is a lovely white with silver/chrome trim. This model also has a countdown timer which I would not have thought would be beneficial, but I do find it to be helpful as I pace my morning routine in terms of plugging in my curling iron or hairdryer. Although it says it is a five minute timer, mine automatically sets to three. One round is enough, but sometimes I do it twice because I think it might be beneficial (and no, I never do that with the directions for shampooing, by the way.) You can tell by the video that it is quiet and unobtrusive. Easy to put down under the sink, but looks nice enough to leave on the counter. I actually plan to purchase a couple for some gifts for family who have dental appliances and have sometimes commiserated with me about the daily brushing/cleaning process that is usually not super effective and rather annoying. This may not be a necessity, but from someone who hand brushed a mouthguard every morning for over 10 years, it feels like a treat. Now, after two years in braces, I am wearing a nighttime retainer for the rest of my life (ha). While I did not mind the idea of wearing them, I was not excited about the morning cleaning of them. I feel like this machine has taken something that was a bit of a drudgery and made it convenient, very effective, and satisfying.

Gentle Yet Effective. Deep Clean Your Dentures or Retainers.
I bought this to clean my 85 year old moms dentures and it works perfectly. This cleaner is incredibly user-friendly. Just add water and a cleaning solution, place the retainer inside, and turn it on. The automatic shut-off feature is great as I don’t have to monitor the process closely, making it convenient for busy mornings or before bedtime. It effectively removes plaque, bacteria, and other residues in just a few minutes. You can use this for other stuff like retainers, aligners, and even jewelry. Works great.

Poor durability.
Only lasted 3.5 months of light use. Now doesn’t turn on at all. Will have to throw away. Would explore other options. Would say it did a ok job while working .

Seems to work well, but makes an awful high-pitched noise when running
I ordered this because I was tired of brushing my mouth guard every night. I like that the UV light kills bacteria — at least of the side of the mouth guard facing up. I’m not sure if it does anything for the side not exposed to light. I typically only use the 300 second (aka 5 minute). It seems to work. The mouth guard doesn’t smell like morning breath and there is no build up on the mouth guard.Unfortunately, my device’s buzzing sound is high-pitched. It makes my cat flee the room. She can be in the hallway, and she’ll still flatten her ears when I turn it on in my bathroom — a full room away from her. I prefer to turn it on and leave the area until it should be done.
