Great value
This rod and reel combo is a great set and you get two of them for the price of one! They are a great value and my son and I have already caught several trout using them. I bought me a second set for my dad. I definitely recommend! First set I bought the line didnât come on the reel, no big deal I just lined it myself. The second set I purchased came with the line on the reels already set up to go fishing. Hope this helps!

Great rod/reel not very durable
These are great. Not very expensive at all and you get twice as much pretty much for the price of one. The guides arenât very good and come loose pretty easily, and the handle of one broke from just one fall. I slipped on some leaves and took a tumble. Dropped all the rods I was holding when I went down and when I picked them up this one was the only one that broke. Handle snapped right off almost at the joint where it connects to the reel. I was incredibly disappointed as I had only gotten to use it twice before that happened. But hey, it comes with two at least so I still have one functional lol. The line it comes with is fine, a little stiff but not bad at all. Casts great. Rod sections are made out of aluminum I would guess, some sort of light metal, not carbon fiber or plastic and thatâs okay. Iâve hooked quite a few fish with the spoons that comes with the set of lures. Mostly baby bass, and I mean baby. They seem more attracted to the red plastic attached to the treble because a couple of the fish were smaller than the spoon itself ð I can only assume they honed in on the small red plastic bit and not the actual spoon.So yeah, itâs a great set for the money and I highly recommend it for anyone on a budget looking for some decent gear. You could honestly just buy this and go right out to fish, it has everything you need.

Decent poles, bad reels
The poles are nice and lightweight and it is great to have the bag to store them in. The reels do not come already set up with the fishing line. You get the line but need to set it up on the reel yourself. The reels are not the best quality. Took the first reel apart to put the line on and the plastic around where it screws together broke so reel is now useless.

I was looking for a basic, easily portable set of rods/reels for freshwater fishing at a lake we frequent. There are tons of these on Amazon, so I looked through many of them while I had some time to kill. This set satisfied my criteria of good reviews, reasonable pricing, portability, pre-spooled with line (that’s important unless you want to mess with that yourself). We took these out and caught some decent bass the first day.I can’t guarantee that you will catch fish with these, but if you don’t, it won’t be because of the gear…

Very poorly made, broke when i tried to collapse them to take with me. Very disappointed
Took on a trip with me for vacation and was very excited to use. First disappointment was that line kept tangling up on the spool i assume from being wound up too tight and too long. Second was when i wanted to collapse the rods to take to a new location, that’s when they started breaking all together to a point where one section came out of the bottom handle! I’m sorry but i paid too much money for a disposable rod
