Well made spacious bag!
My daughter LOVES this bag! It fits her perfectly. (Sheâs an average height and weight 8 year old.)It seems to be well made, and is able to carry quite a bit for it being a child sized day pack. It wasnât difficult to get the bladder out to wash and fill it up, had plenty of space for sunscreen, bug spray, snacks, a hat, a notebook, binoculars, and whatever trinkets or rocks we found along the way.She LOVED being able to take a drink on the go, and felt like such a âgrown upâ kid.The sizing is absolutely perfect. I think even an adult would find this is a great size bag for a day of errand running or a light hike that doesnât require lots of gear. I hope this bag lasts her for many more years. We love everything about it!I bought my two sons this bag also, in a different color. They loved theirs as well! (They are 3 and 5 years old.) Theyâll grow in to the bag, but they didnât stop them from loving it, and being a big kid like their big sister. ð¥°

Very nice kid size hydration pack
We bought 4 black adult hydration packs from another brand which were much thinner and lower quality than this blue one. This will probably hold up well, has more support on the shoulder straps, and wonât tear when it gets drug next to branches on trails or over filled with water and snacks. It fit my 4 year old easily and I really think any of us could have used it fine. It doesnât have a cap on the mouth valve like our others and we had to be careful not to drag it on the ground when filling at water stations at the national parks on our road trip. The only problem we had was you have to be extra diligent to screw the lid on completely straight or it would leak and give you soaking wet pants. The other brand screwed on easily. The tube comes apart at the bottle so it can be cleaned which is a major advantage to the others I bought.

Great kid pack
We got this pack for our daughter when she was seven to use on our hikes. Itâs the perfect size for kids. The hydration pack holds a good amount of water without getting too heavy for a kid to carry. Thereâs also plenty of room in the zipper compartments for snacks, map, things the collect on the trail, etc. The only negative I can say is that the straw for the water reservoir is kind of long.

Works for small kids
I bought two of these for each of my kids aged 6 & 8 years. These packs hold enough water for them during our hikes. Weâve been to several national parks and these packs have held enough snacks and water for them. They are small and with the bladder full, you canât fit a lot of snacks but just enough. My son will soon grow out of his within the next year or two, at around age 9 or 10. So I recommend this pack for smaller children. I havenât had issues with mold. The key is to wash and dry the bag immediately after use. I like that the mouth piece comes off of the tubing so that it can dry. Overall, good product and it seems durable enough to last until my kids grow out of them.

Perfect for kids
I got these for my two daughters and it keeps the temperature of the water nice and cool, it has a great fit and incredible ease of use, they can fill it up and put it on all on there own.

Best purchase!
I bought this for my first marathon. It has adjustable straps. Definitely recommend getting this vs a branded version. Ordering more for the rest of my family!

Great bag for kids – 10 and under
Great bag. Comes with a bladder – has high quality hangers for the bladder. Has enough pockets and stuff areas that you can fit stuff into it. We have regular hiking bags that are MUCH bigger and wanted something small for our shorter day hikes.

bag is good, bladder is atrocious
The bag is great – perfect size for a 5yo and has plenty of pockets for snacks and small things to take along. The bladder is atrocious. You have to screw the LONG hose into the bottom – it doesn’t snap in like mine – and it leaks if you don’t get the hose in right. Plus the hose is WAY TOO LONG, just like so many other reviewers have said. It hangs down to the kid’s knees! Why would I want it that long? It also leaks from the mouthpiece for a few seconds after it is locked. All of the water pooled in the mouthpiece starts to drip out…Unfortunate when you’re hiking in 20-degree weather and it gets your kid’s clothes wet! We might seek out a new bladder and keep the bag. The bladder is also a PITA to get into the bag. You have to pull a velcro piece up and hold it out of the way with one hand while you try to insert the bladder with the other, then you have to push two knobs through 2 small holes, while still holding the velcro out of the way, and lock the knobs in place so that the bag stay erect. Doesn’t feel like they really thought this thing through. Of course, my kid doesn’t deal with any of this hassle and gets to carry his own snacks, and thinks the bag is the bees’ knees. So it’s worth it.

This bag is amazing! Our 7 year old was comfortable carrying it filled with his water and snacks on a 15k hike day, as well as every other smaller hike day for a week! When he got hot, his layers went into the bag as well! It worked perfectly! We used it every day for a week on our trip, and it held up perfectly! Easy to clean and maintain, and the water has no odd taste. Such a great purchase!
