This has been a good replacement blow dryer. I would have given it 5 Stars but the heat is a little too much because it does not have a switch to regulate the temperature ie. low, medium, high heat selector. For the price this unit is a good little workhorse.

The Conair 1875 is small, BUT is perfect for my short five hair! Takes no time and is small enough to pack for travels. (Not sure how it would work for long hair). Itâs not too loud which is a plus and gets the job done! LOVE IT!!!!

I bought a different Conair hair dryer when my ancient one of 15 years bit the dust. The one I ordered was way too heavy and long for me. I’m 5’1″ with short arms so I decided to return it. I ordered three others including one travel dryer. One of the three was also too heavy and I realized it was the retractable cord that was adding the weight like the first one. So I returned three (all Conair) and kept this one. Why? Light enough, short enough, no unnecessary attachments, high, low and a cool shot button that was all I needed. It is smaller (looks like 7 X 8 inches) and light enough for travel so I don’t need another dryer for that. I must add my hair is thin and does dry quite easily. I use a ceramic brush to curl my hair under while drying my hair. I’m glad this one worked for me.

My wife loved the one at the hotel, and we finally found the exact one! Simple to use, works great.Be aware though that if you plug it in “the wrong way”, it won’t work. The wider plug prong goes into the wider outlet slot for it. In most situations, plugging something in “the wrong way” will not allow the plug to go in the receptacle at all. But the wide prong on this model is not wide enough to be stopped by the narrow slot. Not a big deal. Just be aware of it. An easy way for you to remember the correct orientation of the plug is that the fat part of the plug and the cord points toward the outlet grounding hole.
