I especially like the nutritional information for each day of the meal plan, and the pictorial index at the end of the book is outstanding! The recipes are very simple and easy to follow. I have most of the ingredients in my pantry already. Brenda also shares the hows and whys of eliminating sugar and processed foods from my diet, as well as several tools to help me understand why this program works for me. I am new to the Keto/Low Carb eating plan, so all of this helps to reinforce why I need to make these adjustments in my daily life.When I finish this 30 day program, I’m looking forward to investing in her other cookbook of Keto recipes!     I have a huge collection of books on health and wellness, healthy eating and of course, cookbooks. Im an RN and advocate for using nutrition to improve our health and prevent illness.I am a strong proponent of eating sugar-free/low carb/keto. I’ve followed Brenda Bennett for a long time. And I have used many of her recipes.However, this book is one of the best I’ve ever seen.Her education about the benefits and theories of this life-style (I won’t use the word “diet”) is easy to read and comprehend.The recipes are simple to follow, easy to prepare, and a minimum of ingredients.She includes a fabulous 30 day eating plan which is so easy to follow. You will have a shopping list for pantry items. Then, with the recipes for 1 week you’ll have a list of other ingredients you’ll need. But only in the amount you need for that week. And leftovers are included so you won’t waste any ingredients or food.My husband eats differently from me. So, I am often cooking for me. These recipes are perfect! Many of them are for 2 servings.This is my favorite eating plan/cookbook. Lastly, I implore you to give up sugar! You can live without it. Your health will improve and your excess weight will come off. I’ve lived it for years.Congratulations Brenda. Well done!

    Well laid out and yummy
    I’m a bit of a cookbook collector, often following any new trend in cooking. Problem is, I have a husband that’s a picky eater, so I rarely get to actually make anything from the books. But after Christmas, we both knew we needed to do something about our food and sugar choices. For me it’s cookies and sweets, for him it’s beer and chips. We’re both a good 20 pounds over where we used to be 30 years ago. Time to buckle down and do something about it. So I saw sugarfreemom on Facebook and her recipes looked doable. I ordered this book and we immediately (well, a few days after I ran out and bought the ingredients) started our 30 day challenge. After 4 days, my husband had lost two pounds. After a week, 5 pounds. He was so encouraged that he’s sticking to it like glue, and so am I, but I’ve got thyroid issues, so things go slower with me and I’m not going to get depressed by stepping on the scale just yet! The first week was the toughest with the recipes because they are pretty restrictive (I’m now sick of sausage), but there’s more variety as the weeks roll on. I’m excited enough about this that I’m going to buy her other cookbook as well and probably adopt keto as our new way of eating. Mostly because the recipes are delicious. Some ingredients are new to me, like palmini rice and shiratake noodles. But once you get your kitchen stocked with the specialty ingredients, like various “sweeteners”, extracts and condiments, it’s all pretty easy!

    Renewed my hope for Keto!
    I’ve had success in the past on the Keto diet, but inevitably always slid back into an unhealthy, sugar and carb rich way of eating. I justified it every way I could; I can control my sugar consumption…I deserve to eat what I want…I should accept myself as I am. Then just before Christmas, my cherished sister was rushed to the hospital. Morbidly obese for many years, she was unable to recover and I lost her on January 1st. I committed then and there to restore my own health. Coincidentally, Brenda had just started her sugar-free challenge on Facebook, which I had been watching more or less as a spectator. I dove in and first got the kindle version of her book, and then ordered the print version. I’ve learned that my relationship with sugar is an addiction, and this book is my rehab! Since January 1st I’ve lost 12 pounds and no longer crave sugar! Brenda makes it so easy with filling, delicious meals and decadent desserts (which I now only eat once or twice a week!) I’m ordering all of Brenda’s cookbooks, and her blog is my daily go-to for inspiration and tips. Thank you, Brenda, you are truly a godsend!

    If you want to fully understand sugar this book details it! Everything is so well planned out. Very good illustrations and the pages are nice!! I love this book and I am certainly promoting it for others!! I love the recipes…the planned food everything!!!

    Love how the book is set up to make following the plan very easy. It includes shopping lists, easy to follow instructions, calendar view of planned meals for the day, and each week introduces a new step in how to help follow your new healthy eating lifestyle. I like how she explains why the diet works and why your body responds the way it does. I’ve lost 65lbs so far and feel so much healthier.

    Simple and easy
    Great book to have for losing weight and a mindset change about food. 1st part of the book is educational about keto/low carb. The meal plan is very helpful and done for you so you do not have to figure out what to eat each day. The recipes are after the meal plans. The meal plans have the page number of that recipe which is great!! After the recipes is a section about mindset which is very helpful and encouraging.

    This Book, is awesome, Brenda has outdone herself. There is a bit about herself, and then a wealth of knowledge is imparted, and shared with anyone who purchases this book. The detail with each recipe is amazing, the support group that has been created is fabulous, in fact I believe a few members are even learning to cook through her explicit directions. The recipes themselves are so good and tasty, that every new day, is exciting and an adventure, and there is a bonus, not only will you be sugar free by the end of the 30 challenge, you will have lost pounds and inches. A worthwhile purchase.
