Just what I wanted. Perfect replacement. I purchased one of these in green over a year ago and it has been amazing. The only reason I’m replacing my old one is because the little charge port where you stick the cable broke and disappeared into the inside of the housing. It can’t be charged anymore. So I got a new one and I did not realize it at the time but this is exactly the same as the one that I am replacing. Everything about it is the same except the color. I loved that lantern and was very upset when it broke. It’s very bright and the dimmer setting saves batteries very well and is still bright. It can be left on all night long and will still hold the charge. It doesn’t take very long to charge it and it uses a c chord. I have dropped mine multiple times and it has survived. It is hard plastic and not silicone except on the very bottom where the light can be unscrewed and the bulb replaced. With all the use mine got I never had to change the bulb. It is not a very tight intense lock on the part that comes off for the bulb but it does close. I feel like my old one was a little snugger but perhaps it’s just because it got dirty and so there is more grip. It’s lightweight and a convenient size. I highly advise it for anyone that wants a simple lantern with lots of light variation options. Mine lasted at least 3 years with regular use. Oh yeah it also can be used to charge other things it has a little port above the charging port that you can plug your phone or anything else into if you need to charge something else. All in all this is a great lantern, a very good buy, worth the price and I’m stoked that it’s exactly the same as the one I loved so much.**** UPDATEOkay so it’s been 2 years and I use this lantern just about every single day! Still fantastic! Absolutely no problems with it at all.I’ve used it in the dirt, crawling around underneath my house as well as as a flashlight to look under the refrigerator for cat toys, anything outdoors or indoors in any kind of weather!! Not only does the center barrel of the lantern light up but it has a option for a flashlight style light coming out of the bottom of the lantern! It’s got flashlight bulb bright white and soft white. And center of lantern bright light soft light, blinking red and solid red! I go on a 10-day off grid camping trip every year and although I bring other lights, headlight, fake candles etc this is the lantern that I end up using every single time. It’s easily dropped into a backpack, in the water bottle holder on the side of a pack or bike, snapped through a carabiner, anything! It’s got a wire metal piece on the top so that it can be hung and there’s the handle on the side as well that snaps out of the way. All in all this is the best lantern I’ve ever bought. Absolutely the best.

I love these lanterns! They are so versatile – serve as a lantern, flashlight, emergency light, small charger. I have bought several of these and have also given them as gifts to my parents. Great for camping and outdoor activities but we use them mostly in the house. They have come in handy during our winter power outages.

So-far-so-goodâ¦this is a small light so it takes up less space but the light that it affords is amazing. As a flashlight it goes from a bright light to a lower light; as a lantern has a bright white light, a red light and finally a red light with a strobe feature for being stranded on the side of the road, I imagine. Also, a feature where it can not only be charged but can supply charging from it. Pretty remarkable to have all these features for this price. And, when I ordered there was a coupon on that site for $3.00 in savings!My reason for the four-stars is that the instructions are minimal. I had to find the light features by playing around with the lantern. One click gets you one feature, second click gets another and so onâ¦However, for the price and convenient size (Iâll use it by my bedside if I lose electricity), it is definitely worth the price.

Used this the first time last weekend while camping. I had it hanging in our screen tent. It worked great! I thought I would have to use the bottom part, but the sides lit up perfectly to make enough light for the littles playing cards ! Small, takes up no space, nice hook, rechargeable ( we used it for 5 days and didnât need to charge ) so no batteries ! Yay ! I say, if you are looking for a small lantern this fits the bill.

No charge light to show it’s charging or that it’s doneI used them 1x to camp and they worked greatBrought them home, charged em up and stored themGot em out the day before I went out to fish for the night and charged them again, atleast I think I was but I cannot tell since they have no charge lightTook em out to fush, for the site setup and my fire started and before it got dark hung on the hooks and turned on one. Went to setup some bait and came back and it was off. Turned it on again and it shut off 20s later. I don’t know why it did that but it kept doing that so I went for the other and it didn’t work at all.So now I’m setup and in the dark pissed off trying to make light and hr fro home and where I am has no service of course.Sigh…just another night fishing as usualSo I reach out to the company via their website and never hear back concerning a warrantyTrash

Not enough rubber to protect against a drop or knock. The torch lens has rubber protection but the elsewhere it is very plastic.Annoying that you have to cycle through each light setting (just to switch off let alone get to the setting you want).My opinion is lantern will provide emergency charge for phone but if you’re camping without power for more than a day I’d make alternative charging arrangements.
