Easy to swallow, my top ranked Omega 3, and here’s why.
Omega 3 from fish is an extremely important compound. This brand seems to check the boxes for me. I’d like to share with you why I feel this is one of the top Omega 3’s. First, it’s a re-esterified triglyceride. Ester-forms of Omega 3 are OK but clinical trials, especially in us older people, indicate about a 30% reduction in absorption, compared to the triglyceride form, which takes more processing. Also, shelf life of triglyceride Omega 3 is longer than the ester form. I look at the percentage of EPA and DHA compounds to the total amount of fish oil. The higher the percentage, the more concentrated it is. This one is around 90%, and I haven’t seen any higher percentages in other brands. They also add a natural compound to protect from oxidation. FYI, I always refrigerate and the bottle until I need more softgels, which greatly increases shelf life and “freshness” of the Omega 3. I also like the size and “slipperiness” of the gelcaps, making them easier to swallow than the larger gelcaps. I also like the 2-1 ratio of DHA to EPA, as this is optimal for several brain and cardiovascular functions. Lastly, the price point is good. Any Omega 3 is better than not taking it, as the benefits outlined in numerous clinical studies, including National Institute of Health, are staggering.

I was disappointed to see thereâs no mention in the product description of whether the bottle is glass or plasticâespecially since it looks like glass in the photos. I bought this expecting glass packaging. Without it being specified, how could I know? It also doesnât say if the container is BPA-free.When I reached out to Amazon, the customer service process was frustratingly slow and unhelpful, as usual. I didn’t want to return it but JUST A HEADS UP: Amazon no longer processes refunds for third-party supplement products! So if youâre going to change your policy, Amazon, please tell sellers, because theyâre still directing us to you for refunds!!!Fortunately, the seller responded quickly when I emailed them directly, which I appreciate. A+ I just hope they update their listing with clearer packaging infoâ- the lady I emailed confirmed it is BPA-free plastic. I switched out the bottle and put the pills in a solgar glass bottle. I might go with solgar next time, they always use glass bottles. Iâd rather not return the product since it seems ok overall, but this transparency would make a big difference for future buyers.

I received the item just fine but it must have been exposed to some heat cause it was melted together into a block. I tried digging it out with a spoon but itâs just ripping the pills apart. What a waste of $30.

I donât have any problems swallowing pills, and these donât look to be that large, but swallowing is a bit uncomfortable. I usually squish them a little to decrease the diameter and that helps slightly. Thereâs no taste, or smell though, so thatâs the best.
