This journal is excellent. There are 106 pages and 103 of those pages are journaling pages, so there is very little filler or waste pages. Each page includes 2 days of entries, which means one journal will last you 206 training sessions. The entries allow you to record a good range of information: date, duration, distance, speed (or average pace), heart rate, calories burned, weather conditions (sunny, cloudy, drizzling, heavy rain, or snow), a mood indicator (on a scale of 1-5), energy level (on a scale of 1-5), and a little box for notes.All of this information is compactly fit into half a page, but there is still plenty of room to fill out the information, especially if you have small to medium sized handwriting. Once my first copy arrived, I loved it so much I immediately bought a second one and gave it to one of my running buddies to use (one journal can last you for about 8 months with 6 days a week of training).I recommend using a pencil to fill out entries instead of pen because a pen will leave some ghosting on the back page. Not a deal breaker, but something to keep in mind.

This journal has a spot for all the stats I keep track of, lines for adding more info, and plenty of blank space to jot down additional notes. I liked the little factoids that were between days, and I actually found many of them to be quite motivating without being cheesy.

It’s a bit flimsy, you can buy an A5 hardback note pad for same price. 2 pages fell out as soon as I opened it. The notes box is too small to write details about interval training. It’s going in the recycling.
