I bought this for my 13 year old son, who doesnât like to read. Learning about people who looks like him, who are creative and successful is something I want him to learn more about because this is not taught in quality. This book is wonderful! In February it seems the same list of people are taught. Ruby Bridges, Martin Luther King, Harriet Tubman and Rosa Parks. If we viewed black history as just American history I believe we could make leaps and bounds in societal relations. This book showed my eight and nine year old some of the many inventions that have had and continues to have a positive impact on society. This should be a required reading.

I originally bought this book for my grandchildren, it has so many interesting facts that I never knew about. So I’ve been reading it. I think they should have books like this in public schools. It’s a great education. As well as fun facts. It was an awesome buy.
