Very Good razor with a very good price
I like to use this razor to target the face areas that are challenging for the blade type. It works excellently around the mouth and chin. I used to use more expensive electric razors and was to disappointed because they would get dull quickly. This razor, l have had for fifteen months and it’s still doing the job. I bought it because it was cheap but it also is compact, has a blade cover that protects the blades, and a cleaning brush that attached to the razor. It uses a AAA battery that lasts a long time. I love it and bought one for my nephew.

Remarkable bargain.
I was very surprised at how well this thing works given its very low price. Instead of using the provided alkaline batteries, I installed a pair of recently charged 2300mAh NiMh rechargeable batteries. Using it every day, those batteries lasted for well over a month without requiring a recharge – and these were not quicky shaves. It can shave very close, and it glides easily over my skin. For more detailed evaluation, let me compare to a Panasonic 3 head rechargeable shaver I have. Actually, its the 3rd such I have had over many years. The failure mode has always been in battery performance. Servicing the built in batteries is not economically feasible, since replacing the whole unit also buys you new heads. Even my most recent is down to 2 shaves per charge, so I was pondering a replacement when I ran across this extraordinarily inexpensive Braun. The very low price was surprising since Braun has a good reputation. The fact that the Braun’s batteries were user-replaceable was a strong selling point for me. Nevertheless, at the low price I was not expecting much. The Braun shaves closer than my Panasonic, and it glides more smoothly over my skin. The Braun is not nearly as loud, which is relevant since I normally shave while watching TV. Battery life is very good and replacing them is easy. Because its head is smaller, it takes somewhat longer to shave with the Braun; but I really don’t care about that, since I am watching TV at the same time anyway. There is one significant con: There are non-whisker hairs (softer, lying close to the skin) in a couple areas near my beard which I also wish to shave. Unfortunately, these hairs never seem to poke through the Braun’s foil, no matter how I maneuver it. Every 4 or 5 days, I have to resort to another means (the Panasonic or a blade) to get those hairs. The Panasonic has no problem with the soft hairs, since one of its 3 heads is a slotted head. (Norelco heads are also slotted and will also get these hairs.)Although these devices claim to be washable, I would not recommend washing. It is nice to know that the works are well sealed, but wetting it still seem like asking for trouble. For decades, I have used talcum powder as a lubricant for shaving. The drier the skin and whiskers the better. (IMO, the idea of wet shaving with an electric shaver is very counterproductive, since, unlike the situation with a conventional blade, softening the beard does not make cutting it any easier for an electric shaver mechanism (which has more of a scissor like action). Indeed, softening the beard just decreases the probability that any given hair will get to where a blade can hit it.) Talcum powder that collects inside is easily knocked loose and/or blown from the internal blade parts and skin oils and bits go with it. Once a week or so, it is good to use the brush for any buildup that might occur (e.g., between the blades of the shaving block). This approach requires very minimal maintenance and does not lead to any problems that I have ever experienced. If I were still dating, I would keep one of these in my car for last minute touch-ups.

Good value for travel
Good value for the money. I decided to take off one star due to crap packaging. The razor was in a barely padded mailing envelop and in the retail box. When I opened the package, I found the razor box very squished. The razor was, fortunately not damage. As far as the razor itself goes, I have no complaints. It came with 2 Durecell batteries. I put them in with the instructions, which are pretty good and in English, and tried it out on my 3 day bread. It worked very well for what want. I mainly keep it in my night stand and use it when I don’t feel like using my double edge. For that it does fine. BTW, my 3 day beard is like my son’s 5 o’clock shadow. If you want a really clean shave, then I’d say use a blade razor, but if you just want to knock off enough bread to look presentable, then it is a good way to go. I think it would be fine for travel, due to lighst wt and small size. I have not tried it wet, so can’t say anything about that. I’d say it is a good touch up razor.

Strong and thorough
Pleasantly surprised by how close it shaves. Really good quality boards, and even the housing feels solid and reliable. Clever movable attached cover protects the blades.Small enough to reach those hard to reach spots like right under your nose.Large enough to do your entire face in a reasonable time.Battery lasts surprisingly long. This and the tiny travel shaver from Panasonic are the best of the best in terms of shaving closeness in my opinion, even for fairly thick facial hair.Doesnât have a way to trim sideburns but then again not many mini shavers do.Will buy again when this one goes out.

The best!
Wow! I’ve tried so many razors, and then figured I’d give this one a shot. Just, Wow! Nice clean shave. (Don’t try to “grind” it in, you’ll get razor burn, it shaves that close.) Amazing price, and essentially “disposable”.Great for camping and for military. Back in my military days, when we had to shave and camo (face paint) every day, living out of a rucksack for weeks on end, I had a little gem very much like this one. I used it to “knock the heads off” the whiskers that popped up, and still had a nice “base layer” of camo that I could touch up. No need for foam and razor, less weight overall, less room in my ruck, and a lot less money overall. Many of my friends would borrow it. I always loved that little gem of a razor, and now I have found him again!Today I travel a LOT, and I still try to keep the weight and bulk down to a minimum. And this is the perfect razor for that.

Great razor, terrible shipping
The shaver was falling out of a badly town and damaged box inside the thin trash bag like mailer. No padding in the shipping bag. I have doubts about the longevity of the product because of the state of the packaging and box. It seems to work fine but perhaps it might have suffered damage, I donât know. Next time, a little bubble wrapâ¦

à o meu segundo aparelho. Gosto muito, muito eficiente, econômico, só cuidar pra pilha não vazar dentro, que foi o que aconteceu com o primeiro, depois de 4 anos de uso.

Hard to beat Braun design. Compact, lightweight, reasonably close shave, excellent battery life. Pivoting sleeve protects head while packed for travelling. Foil shaving screen easily removed for cleaning. I love this shaver!
