but this Bath Bomb Making Kit was way too fun! We just received this as a Christmas gift …
I normally don’t post reviews, but this Bath Bomb Making Kit was way too fun! We just received this as a Christmas gift and are absolutely delighted with it. My 8 year old sister and I just spent our afternoon making bath bombs together, and my college-aged brother even offered a hand.We had our sister carry out most of the measuring and the mixing, which was plenty of fun for her since she already enjoys helping out in the kitchen. Most of the ingredients are basically already measured, or come with a little extra, but she still poured them out in the measuring cup/ tablespoon. This was nice for us- the adults- because we don’t have to worry about wasting ingredients should a pouring accident occur. It was also nice for my sister because it allowed us to provide her with a little more independence with the preparation than we normally would have given her.I also really appreciated the fact that this kit comes with a variety of different essential oils. For those of us, like my family, who are rather inexperienced with essential oils, we definitely loved being given the option to decide what to add to our bath bombs- and even more important, to decide what we may smell like after using it, haha. Additionally, the variety was great enough that both my brother and my sister were able to select different scents that they liked, and thus this kit and its end product are great for recipients of any gender. Definitely a plus in my book!We experienced a little difficulty with trying to get the essential oils to drip out of its’ containers, but removing the plastic covering and pouring the oil out worked just fine. And the instructions themselves are clear enough to follow, despite a few tiny typos. The quality of the instruction card was surprisingly really good too! (I’m so used to receiving a flimsy piece of paper- which is why I was so surprised by it.) I do have to say, however, that the presentation of the kit as a whole was just a lovely cherry on top of the whole experience. I can tell that there was a lot of careful thought put into each individual piece and that the kits were assembled with care, so THANK YOU!A couple of helpful tips we discovered along the way: We used coconut oil- since the oil was solid in the jar, we scooped some out and stirred it in a Corelle cup that was preheated just a bit. This melted the oil without cooking it and was perfect to stir into the mixture. I recommend to add a bit of pressure with the pads of your fingers to compact the mixture in the tin bowls. (I found that this helps to prevent crumbles). Also, to obtain that round dome shape that we did, tap on the tin surface a few times with your finger with the bath bomb side face down. This should free the tin from the bath bomb and should easily lift off! The instruction card also gives a few recommendations for natural colorants. Inspired by these suggestions, my sister and I created some of our own. Though they may not be as vibrant as what would have resulted had we followed the recommendations, we both liked our end results; it’s DIY after all, is it not? 🙂 There’s a few pictures below if you’re interested!White: Eucalyptus oil + crushed Tangerine leavesPink: Lime oil + crushed Flower petalsGreen: Peppermint oil + grated Pumpkin rindOrange: Grapefruit oil + grated Tangerine skinHope you have as much fun as we did!

I highly recommend to anyone!
I got this bath bomb kit for my wife and she really enjoyed it! She and her girlfriend got together one afternoon and decided to make these bath bombs together. They cleared the dining table and got right to work! The kit was nice because it came with the perfect proportion of all the necessary ingredients and there was even leftover essential oils. Who doesn’t love essential oils?!The only tricky thing about it was understanding the mould process of making the bath bombs. It comes with one stainless steel spherical mould, but it takes about 30 minutes to harden at best. So what do you do??Because the kit calls you to make all the bath bombs at once, you are inclined to go with the cupcake mould, which is basically to use those little paper cupcake moulds for baking and place the mixture inside. It’s really convenient to use a muffin baking sheet in order to keep every thing contained and less of a mess. The cupcake molds turned out really well and we’re convenient for transporting. Plus the looked like little cupcakes! It was fun to watch them dissolve in the water, making all the fizz, and I noticed my wife’s skin was extra soft after she got out of the tub.Not only did she enjoy making these with her friend, but she has enjoyed using them and giving a few away as gifts. My wife likes taking baths and it definitely makes bath time more enjoyable with one of these! Plus I think she likes it even more because she made it herself!

Bath Bomb Kit is GREAT!
I previously purchased bath bomb molds So I could make my own bath bombs. I like knowing what ingredients are in products that I use. The kit includes everything you need to start making bath bombs. The kit comes with baking soda, citric acid, cornstarch, Epsom salts, rubber gloves, a bath bomb molds, and liners to make cupcake bath bombs. There is a small green spray bottle with the set along with a satchel full of essential oil drams to add to the bombs while you’re making them. The recipe card that came with the kit gives you some great ideas to start with. The only limit is your imagination. To add color, they recommend you use natural food color, not artificial.DISCLAIMER: I received this product discounted in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.

Presentation of the package was great. The ingredients are pre-measured and yield 12 bath …
I was so excited for this kit. I ordered it to see if I would be interested in making bath bombs frequently. I opened it and started 30 minutes before I needed to leave for work. I had time to get everything mixed, go to the store for food coloring, and start on a few before I needed to leave. The instructions are very clear and the pro-tips were extremely helpful. Presentation of the package was great. The ingredients are pre-measured and yield 12 bath bombs, as advertised. I saved the packages that the powders came in incase I want to gift ingredients. This kit does NOT include your base oil OR colorants. So be sure to purchase them ahead of time (olive oil, coconut oil, food coloring, etc.) The molds to make the spheres were a bit tricky, but only because I believe my mixture was too dry. With a little patience and practice I’m sure it can be achieved. The essential oils come in sample sized vials, if you’re not familiar with EO’s then please do a bit of research before adding them to your bath bombs. Some of these oils should not be used by people with certain conditions.Take the clear plastic stopper out of the vial, that will make the EO pour easier. I had a lot of fun making these. I even let my sister join in and we hardly ever get a long. She finished them for me after I went to work.Do not be discouraged by the price, it is well worth it!

Fast Shipping, Well-packaged & Loads of FUN!!!!
Well packaged, in good standing condition. The essential oils smelled amazing and not cheap fake smelling scents. I like how everything you need is already included and what isn’t included is stuff you already own in your kitchen such as utensil to stirl, water, bowl & tin pan. 🙂 I had fun making these. I will wait the 2 days for them to finish and update what they look like.

Box had everything as advertised, made some bath bombs with my girlfriend and we had a great time, was tricky to get them to stick in the mold at first but a little trial and error we figured it out

I paid way too much for products I could have gotten at the bulk barn for literally a fraction of the cost. There is no colouring to add into the mixture for different colors but it doesn’t say that when purchased. There was no oil to bind the product. The instructions were to spray one hundred pumps of this little spray bottle they included but that wasn’t nearly enough to try to get or to bond. It only came with one form for the bath bombs which didn’t work with the formula, it was failed attempt after frustrating failed attempt. We used coconut oil to attempt to bind the formula but because they were vague on the kind needed or what you could use I feel like each type would offer a different result but after spending as much money as I did I wasn’t about to go out and buy a bunch of different oils (that should have come with this item) to be able to experiment on different formulas. In the end, because we did it all in one go, we ended up with cupcake cups full of bath bomb formula that eventually hardened in the cupcake cup. We also used some silicone forms we had for ice cubes that we also tried and they worked a lot better than the cheap circular “mold” that was provided. Also, they give you a series of incredibly tiny essential oils that you can add to your bath bombs but you’ll need to separate it all into several different bowls to be able to make different scents. You can add different colors to the different bowls but you’ll first need to go and purchase those colours. There is a page in the box that tells you the different natural ingredients you can use for different colors. Like paprika for red (it turned a pretty orange) or indigo for blue. All in all we were very disappointed with the end result. Even though we had high expectations, once we opened the box we realized we put too much stock in the cost, hoping it would come with everything needed, as it was advertised.
