Great for Curious Preschoolers
My daughter has exited the Why? why? why? stage and has entered the deep thoughts phase. Many of her questions have had to do with the human body, like âwhat is inside your bones?â and âwhatâs inside my skull?â While this book doesnât answer her more philosophical questions like âWhat is a soul? ðµâð«, it has been great for answering all her body part questions! She is four and I feel like this is right at her level. Not too simplistic but not over her head. She likes looking at all the flaps. I like that each system of the body is covered. I think we will be enjoying this one for a while.

Perfect anatomy book for a toddler!
Love all the pictures in this book, the illustrations are best quality, and it has just the right amount of information to be interesting for a 4 year old, but not overwhelming! I considered another similar Usborne book from this series, but I was afraid it has too much information. I’m glad I got this one! Highly recommend!

My four year old is obsessed with this book
My son wanted a book about the human body. We chose this one because it looked like a good introduction for someone his age with nice pictures. He has been obsessed with the book ever since we got it for him and his knowledge of anatomy is now superior to many adults. Today he drew one of his stick figure people and put a couple of dots and two lines in the lower torso area and told me that he had to include the kidneys and ureters!
Certain sections are much better and more interesting than others. The sections on the cardiopulmonary system are especially strong. The five senses section is kind of weak as is the section on bones and muscles. The brain section could be better, too, but it is ok, no huge complaints just could be better.
This book is a great non-intimidating starting point for learning about human anatomy. It is general enough to be approachable but provides opportunities for going into more depth without being overwhelming. It could be a little more detailed and I think it would still hold his interest but it strikes a good balance. As I mentioned earlier, some sections could be much better.

This is a great educational book about the different parts of the body and how they function for kids. Lots of information to help kids understand what their bodies do and why. I loved that the book was bright with flaps that kids could pull out making it exciting to learn. Definitely worth the price. The only thing I would have improved was the font sizes. I would have enlarged them for little ones but understand there’s so much information being presented, there probably isn’t enough space. Would definitely recommend this for kids from 3 years old.
