These are exactly as they were described. My great nephew was so excited to get to go magnet fishing. This is easy enough for him to use and heâs eight years old. They were easy to cast. easy to put together. We had so much fun using these and they work really well. The magnets are very strong.

I got my magnet fishing kit last month and this week finally had time to take it out for a spin. It came with several accessories including a grappling hook which I found to be super helpful. A few hours into my “fishing” I launched the magnet into the water and the rope slipped into the water too. I thought about jumping in after it but Florida’s brackish water is dirty and often had gators so I had to walk away. Fortunately when I contacted the company and explained my situation (with pictures) they were very understanding and promised to send another kit.This is really going above and beyond. I truly appreciate the help they gave me as well as their encouragement to keep trying. This is a solid kit and good seller. Give them, and the hobby itself, a try!

Update 7/23/2023:The owner/founder reached out to me after seeing my review. She apologized and wanted to make it right by sending me a replacement. She also thanked me for bringing this concern to their attention so that they can double down on wuality control. Which we all know is hard to come by with most sellers. The seller also informed me that “neodymium magnets may not pull certain metals such as aluminum, copper, and brass. Additionally, everyday objects like fridges or house keys are often made of metals that are not strongly magnetic, such as stainless steel, brass, or nickel. Some other objects you can use to test the force of the magnet are objects made up of iron such as hammers and carabiners”.The replacement is exactly what we were searching for and much stronger than the first. Between customer service and the replacement, we couldn’t be happier!Original review:The case and everything feel to be of nice quality. Though, I don’t believe this magnet to be as strong as it is advertised. It will stick to my fridge door but comes off before the door even budges. It’s not very difficult to get off the fridge either.I would still repurchase this item but more as a gift to a beginning magnet fisher.
