One of my daughters’ favorite books for me to read.
I bought this book many years ago when my daughters were very young. It has a very nice cadence to it that makes it soothing for them. I made up voices for each of the animals which they enjoyed even more. I continued reading to them every night through middle school. It was very bonding. The books changed to classics (e.g. a Tale of Two Cities, Animal Farm, etc.) so that we could discuss them. They know I would ask about what we read so they paid attention well. They both scored extremely high in reading comprehension on SAT’s. Even as they got older they still requested that I read this book for them every Christmas.
My nephew just had his first child and this had to be among the books that I gave him. My daughters are a bit away from having their own children (knock knock!) but I plan to record my voice reading this book to attach in a presentation with the book pages so that my grandchilden will be able to enjoy it someday.
This really was a family favorite to read together.

I bought this for my baby girl for Christmas. My firstborn really liked all the Bear books when she was younger because of their great rhymes. This book didn’t disappoint. Super cute and great little story.

Favorite Childrenâs Book
The Bear and Friends books are my favorite line of childrenâs books. I ordered two of these at Christmas time for gifts. Both books came slightly damaged on the binding but not bad enough to stop me from keeping them. I will likely gift this book again next Christmas.

Sweet, meaningful Christmas book
My 1 year old daughter LOVES âBears New Friendâ so I got her this for Christmas time. Wow. I was not expecting such an adorable and meaningful story. Iâm a bit wary of my kids thinking Christmas is all about getting presents. The book did a wonderful job of including Santa and gifts but showing what it means that itâs âmore blessed to give then receiveâ, and how to be a good friend. We really love this author, and greatly appreciate the Bear books!

I wanted to know the story beforehand but could not find it, hereâs the spoiler: the bear is woken up by his friends in order not to miss xmas, they hang out altogether doing xmas activities o keep the bear awake, and in the end his friends get tired and fall asleep while the bear is still prepping. He ends up meeting Santa that night and next day all is ready for Xmas.

Our Grandson loved this story.It was read to him when he went to bed over Christmas. The hard back book, was easier for him to turn the pages.Lovely illustrations and story. Very pleased and a good price
