Great product!
I purchased this product on a whim. I thought I’d give it a try. Much to my surprise, it’s very good! It actually came in a clear jar rather than a yellow one as pictured. No big deal. It has a light scent that is pleasant and tolerable. The gel is clear and lightweight with a water base. I applied it to towel-dried hair and let it dry naturally. It tames frizz and flyaways and didn’t leave my hair stiff or crunchy like most products. It held my waves perfectly throughout the day, and my hair remained soft. I was able to reapply and style my dry hair the next day without any issues. I am very satisfied with this product and price and will definitely purchase it again!

Could be better
Being that the packaging and formulation is similar to the Paul Mitchell product, I’m basing this review on how well it performs compared to that, as I’m sure many others will be in the same boat; looking to replace that expensive name brand product.Unfortunately, at that purpose this formulation fails. It has a pleasant but odd smell that immediately reminds you it is not the name brand. The consistency is much different, more like a lotion than a paste. I find not having to use barely any water with this product. As far as performance, I find the hold of this to be very weak. Maybe if you use tons of it, it would be ok, but then why not just buy the name brand and use a pea-sized amount? The hold is not good and is usually disheveled by the end of the day, while the name brand would work for a couple days at a time.I really like that it is a larger and cheaper alternative to the name brand, but unfortunately just isn’t the same quality.

Justâ¦no
This product is absolutely disappointing. Directions specifically state apply to damp hair for a shiny look or dry hair for a matte finish. I applied a VERY small amount to my dry hair and it made my hair look greasy and gross even though I just washed it. It also states it has a strong hold, but there is no hold whatsoever, and I have short hair. I am extremely unhappy with my purchase and do not recommend this product at all.

Makes My Hair Soft, Not Sticky, Great for a Very Light Hold
I currently have short hair, shaved on the sides, maybe 4 inches long on top. This provides a very light hold, just enough to sort of keep my hair out of my face and give it a bit of natural shape and texture. It makes my hair feel softer, which I love as I don’t have the energy to care for my hair beyond washing it, and often not even using conditioner. The cream itself is very soft, like lotion consistency. A tiny bit greasy on my hands after using it or running my hands through my hair later, but not sticky like some hair products. A light scent that fades very quickly (though not a tea tree oil scent, not sure what it is). There’s a sort of loose seal on the inside and it’s wrapped in plastic on the outside. Not the right product if you’re looking for any real amount of hold, but it’s exactly what I was looking for, and I love that it makes my hair feel so nice!

Donât use too much
With this product you only need a small amount. The first time I used it I used the same amount that I used of another brand and itâs way wayyyy too much. Used sparingly it works just fine. Smells nice too

Not what I expected
Product is much different than normal solid products or styling gels. Consistency of a soft face cream. Maybe I need to get a better feel for the product but is not stiff and hold is mild.

Works ok but uses twice as much as another name brand.

Product doesnât offer ANY hold or texture and leaves hair feeling greasy, heavy and flat. Donât waste your money!

Just to creamy for me

This stuff has the consistency of sour cream or yogurt, and provides almost no hold whatsoever. I used about a teaspoon dollop in my dry hair, and it just vanished while adding no malleability or texture at all.It smells not terrible, I suppose. Piney/planty clean tea tree oil scent that’s not overly strong.I don’t have a scale, but the container was about 20% empty. It didn’t appear to be tampered with, and I’m sure they gave me whatever the claimed amount is (7oz), but it just wasn’t great optically to see so much space in a “full” jar.If this stuff was 5 bucks a jar, I’d say it’s worth a try. At 15 or 20+, if you want any kind of stylability, keep looking.
