Used in heavy rain, performed well with some drips
We bought this tent once we realized that our long-planned camping trip was going to be in the middle of an atmospheric river. After exhaustive searching and reading reviews, it sounded like a high quality tent. The assembly was really fast and easy. I half couldn’t believe the videos showing its assembly, but yes, it goes up in a minute or two. The stakes were great for securing the tent, and easy to pull out when we decided to move it to a different position. We felt fancy and posh hanging out in it while other campers left early to avoid the storm. 🙂
We got rained on heavily which really allowed us to test its water resistance. First of all it was a great shelter from the rain, and the skirt along the bottom base told me it would keep the rain from seeping under the tent to the inside. However, It was not perfect in 2 ways:
    1. The roof in general performed very well, however, eventually we felt drips coming down in a couple places. The seam along the outer edge at the top was a source of drips, as water was seeping into that seam and coming out on the inside. Second, eventually on the heaviest rain day we found a few drops coming down where the straps held the roof onto the poles. Probably won’t be an issue for most unless it is heavy rain like we experienced.
    2. Due to the geometry of the tent, the outer screen walls stick out like squat pyramids for each side. This is how the walls get their rigidity. As the rain came down, we would get water coming in through the screen on the windward side, so we had to move some of our stuff away from the edge and sit in the middle. The tent does not come with solid walls to hang up, although Gazelle does sell a 3-wall pack for $50. If you are planning to camp in the rain, I’d suggest you get these walls as well. We will either get these or use some of the ripstop nylon we have and make some custom walls. It may not solve the seam drip issue since those walls attach outside of the seam and won’t cover it.
We plan on finding a rainproofing treatment to stop the seam from dripping and are otherwise happy with this tent and look forward to using it on more camping trips and for backyard parties!

    Useful
I finally utilized this after about a year or so a few weeks ago. It was really useful during camping. I like how easy it is to set up and tear down. It is however heavy and long. If you have a smaller car, it may not fit. Overall, keeps the bugs out and the material is good.

    Nice Quality – Love it
I tried my hardest to put it up by myself the first time. I’m only 5’6″ and could not for the life of me put up the center hub, my arms just couldn’t stretch far enough, so hubby had to help. (NOW, I stake down some of the bottom and it helps to push up the middle.) I am able to close it down by pulling hard on two of the upper arms and pack it away. It is bulky and heavy, but that’s an indication of the quality.
Some have asked if you can put a wind panel to cover the door opening – YES, mine has the velcro (hook & loop) pieces around the door area also (purchased Spring 2021). So I am able to use all 6 panels!
Yes I was able to get an 8′ picnic table in there. (It leaves about a 2-3′ on the one end to walk around.)
No it does not have a floor, it is a screen room, most do not! (You can purchase the footprint/floor mat separately. I have no need for that, one less thing to sweep, let the food fall on the grass! lol) Still don’t think I would want a tarp for a floor, would rather have a woven rug like we use under the awning, but then again I will not use this for a tent; buy a tent for that purpose!
I wish it had a loop to hang a light/fan. There’s one on the outside center top hub, not sure why it’s on the outside?? Not like you can use that to set it up. The loop would also give you something extra to pull on to close it down. It’s easy enough to do to hang a light, but I don’t like having something that hooks/wraps around the top poles and then would rub on the canvas possibly creating a leak.
When opening it, yes it will be inside/out. Just start unfolding the panels and pulling on the straps and it will right itself. Basically you are going to unfold the panels so that the center hub is now on the inside. (Watch YouTube videos, some will show this technique, some do not.) That’s just how it folds down. It even helped me to place it on it’s top (the top center hub) and let the panels fall into place, then start pulling them. With practice, I am now able to put it and down by myself, yes in less than a minute. Longer to stake it down.
The stakes included with this are Heavy Duty and are screw like, so you can basically unscrew them to remove them from the ground instead of trying to pull them up if the ground is hard and dry.
There are D Rings at the top and bottom of each section to attach the wind panels with S Hooks and then the velcro.
Held up good in the rain – no leakage problems! I love that this one has a flap that covers the top of the wind panels to help keep out the rain. I can see that if you purchased “The Other One” where that would be an issue; water will get in between the panel and the screened material without having that flap.
Had a question for customer service and they were awesome in their reply, even sent me a freebie!
See my review on the wind panels with more pictures! If you are unable to see my review on the wind panels – Take Note when you take them out of the packaging. The “Tops” of all the wind panels are connected. If you pay attention to this, you will not have any problem figuring how to attach them and knowing which side is UP. I then reattach them the same way (all the tops connected) when I pack them away. Yes, I have used all 6 panels!
    Pictures attached. LOVE MY GAZELLE!

I cannot say enough good stuff about this gazebo. Easy to put up easy to take down. I bought the side panels, they came in handy when we had a torrential rainstorm when were were out one weekend.
I tie the sides down if I know we are going to have wind. Otherwise I just steak it down.
We stayed dry and cozy. The seams did drip a little. It’s not waterproof. I was impressed how little it leaked with the downpour we had. I have since put some waterproofing on the roof seams.
We sit 5 with lawn chairs comfortably Along with my table, and side tables.
I call this our living room. We have a 15 ft trailer and it’s nice to have this room outside.
It is big and heavy. I store it on the twin bed when we travel.
I also purchased that awesome outdoor 9×9 round rug from Amazon.
We love this space. We spend a lot of mornings and evenings in the gazebo.
The system is strong nothing has ever collapsed. The roof has not come down.
    I love the gazelle product.
My next purchase is going to be the Gazelle T4 hub tent. We need a tent when we have our grandkids and family members join us.

Overall really like this screen tent. Some minor dripping around the upper seems. (it was a HEAVY 30 min downpour) Will spray before next trip out. We purchased the wind/rain covers as well. Worked fantastic! (Princess auto 69.99 pack of 3) 🙂

Tent came with clear instructions. Set-it up over the picnic table at the campground. It kept the bugs out. Had a couple heavy rains showed condensation on the inside but did not leak.

Like the product however, the guide lines were to short. 59 inch line for a 70 inch tall gazebo, and that is with no pitch. Not sure what the thought process is there. Going to need to get new guide lines. Was disappointed when I installed this for the first time and found this deficiency. Otherwise appears to be a good product. Not sure on durability yet, only used it once.

Tent seems to be of good quality and goes up easy. I’ve only used it for one week end so far, but the tent is what I expected
