Teach a person to fish, or give a person a fish? Why not both!It’s full of wisdom from the stoics all the way through to recent best selling books, and everything in between.Plus, come on. It’s got a foreword by Arnold! Unsure if Arnold’s pet donkey Lulu was involved in any of the writing, but I like to think she helped. Worth a purchase.     A real life way to approach diet and exercise
    Always been a fan of Adam Bornstein. The fitness space is filled with a lot of fake influencers who hype up products/diets that just don’t work long term. If you spend any time on his Instagram you know that he promotes diet and lifestyle that you can actually apply to your life.I felt like this book really spoke to me. I love to read fitness books and most of them put you on a plan that really isn’t doable long term. As he speaks about in the book you start off really hot with immediate results but by week 6-8 the motivation has faded away and the idea of restricting so many foods starts to weigh on you. Who doesn’t want to partake in a “fun” family dinner or a pizza night with your wife and kids?That’s where this book shines in my opinion. It’s a practical, long term plan that anyone can follow. I love to eat different foods and especially takeout/food on the go and he gives you a plan that is actually sustainable. Loved all the eating out options that you can plug in and while you can enjoy these foods, you realize you can’t ALWAYS enjoy them. It has to be a moderation and this book gives you the plan! A very easy read for a normal person who wants to improve their outlook on health and fitness. Highly recommended!

    Well, actually, you can.
    Adam Bornstein’s book is quite informative. I found that many parts of his book, “You Can’t Screw This Up” are quite useful to me. In Chapter 9, there is a good discussion about Ordering Takeout with suggestions on how to request a different oil or asking for sauce on the side. He speaks about different ways to enjoy various ethnic restaurants and foods. Chapter 10 is more of the same, but with specific popular US restaurants and suggestions on what to order. Honestly, I wish I could make use of this information with some kind of perforated guide as part of the book. I can’t imagine driving down the highway and seeing an Applebee’s and having to refer to this book to decide what I could eat. If there was a quick and simple guide or app which could help me, it would be so much more convenient. I understand where Bornstein is going with this and how you can make smarter choices. I don’t plan on memorizing what meals are best at any of the many restaurants I visit.As someone who is always in the “dieting circle of hell”, I find that this slow and steady way to lose weight is difficult to maintain the right “weight loss” attitude. I do find that the recipes in the back of the book are what makes this book amazing. I have tried about ten of them and they are now in my regular rotation. The Honey Mustard Chicken BLT Wrap is AMAZING! I’ve never used actually honey before this recipe in making a sandwich. It makes such a huge difference in the flavor.I’m still working through this book on a second read because I have plateaued on my weight loss, so I hope I can not screw this up.

    This book makes everything simple and realistic when it comes to be healthy in our everyday life.We all know that in order to loose weight and be healthy is to eat right and exercise. This book makes you realize you can live a normal life doing just that without getting discouraged or setting yourself up for failure.In fact “You Can’t Screw This Up” is so true.I stopped getting on the scale everyday and beating myself up. Stopped hyper focusing and just really digested what the author had to say. I thought I was doing everything right but it turns out I was stressing about every meal, focusing on the scale and causing stress. Turns out the stress of it all was causing weight loss issues. Remove the stress and the weight goes with it. Now I only get on the scale once a week and I see and feel the loss.This book just opens your eyes and makes you realize you don’t have to live so restrictive and be on a diet fad to be the healthy person you want to be.

    Only just received it today and haven’t fully read it yet but I have scanned through and it is everything I was hoping for. No nonsense, no gimmicks, just the facts and how to get results. No wonder Adam is part of Mr Schwarzenegger’s Fitness team, he knows his stuff. Will add to review when I have finished reading.Update: Finished it. Great book. Best Nutrition book I have read. Gives you great advice and simple but very effective tools to help you succeed. Very happy with my purchase.
