BEST Orthodontic Wax
My orthodontist recommended Carmel and I agree that it is THE BEST orthodontic wax for use with my Invisaligns. Itâs moldable to properly cover over sharp edges of hooks and it doesnât crumble or fall off like some others do. I had some bad ortho wax that was like a waxed candle but I added Carmel wax to it and it worked! The price is also good so I keep buying it.

Flavors great, texture not as good
This product has a great array of flavors but the wax is just a bit softer than I would have liked. Made it a little more difficult to place on my aligners, and had a habit of slipping off at times.

Used this to patch a broken tooth until I could make it to the dentist. Just soft enough when warm to mold into position and held its shape for the three days I really needed it. Would buy it again and hope like hell I never have to buy it again.

This wax is much softer than the wax I got from my orthodontist. I donât have to use a lot to cover the hooks that poke me when Iâm sleeping. Game changer.

Much too hard
This mint flavored wax is much harder than the somewhat hard wax my dentist gave me (I have to warm up my dentist’s wax to apply it); this wax was 10 times harder–even if I warmed up it before using it, I was afraid it could break my braces when I pushed it on to them. So I threw it out. (A couple of reviewers say the wax is too soft, but others say it’s hard– therefore, inconsistent.)

I use this wax on occasion to protect delicate spots in my mouth from my retainer wires. Tried this brand last night for the first time. Broke off a couple of small pieces, and moulded them around my dry retainer wire on the protuberances that were rubbing my cheek. Put the retainer in and went to bed. I was really impressed this morning to get up and find the wax STILL WHERE I PUT IT! I had to peel it off! With my old wax I’d often find it in my cheek, on my pillow, or I might have swallowed it. This wax, on the other hand, stayed put! Recommend!

The wax itself is really good. Stiff at first but softens with a little working between the fingers and becomes easy to apply exactly where needed. It stays in place well and has saved my mouth so many times. Only downside is I picked this one specifically because it said cinnamon scented box but really, there isn’t much of a scent to it at all. Doesn’t affect the use but was a little disappointed by that. The wax though, is amazing.

I am an older person who needed to get braces. I have no patience for the wires sticking into my mouth. I wanted to support a Canadian company too. This wax is wonderful and itâs easier to get the bigger volume and just leave a smaller boxes around wherever you might need them.
