Highly Recommended for Cold Temperatures – Easy to Breathe Through Mesh!
I just went walking up a hill in 38 degree weather wearing this balaclava. It was very easy to breathe through the mesh. I will say that you can wear this two ways. One is over your nose when it is really chilly and then you can pull the mask down under your chin if you want less warmth.I found this kept my neck warm but also did not make my head sweat like other hats and balaclavas tend to. When you are active and moving around that is important I think. I also liked that the balaclava covered my forehead at the top.This seems to be windproof and I wish I’d had it a few days ago when I was out in the wind and forgot to bring it! This is a must in the cold winter months when walking to keep warm as well as to be seen. I have hat that has the same coloring for the warmer months. However, this keeps my face and head warm. Especially during those months when the wind is blowing from the north. This is not for use along. I have another skull cap under this one as part of my winter gear for walking out side as long as the wind chill is not in that danger zone where the weather man warns one to stay in side if you really don’t have to go out. Overall I have had comments as to how it makes one more visible on those over cast winter days. Of course for safety this is my goto along with other bright colors for my late autumn to mid winter walks.

This is a good ski mask. For the price, itâs a great deal. I needed something as a beginner and stumbled on this brand. It worked well for me. One thing I will say is if you have a smaller head, it wonât fit right. The mask itself is pretty big. With that being said, the material is thick and doesnât feel cheap. I will say that my face was still freezing with having this on but I think it did an overall good job.

Keeps your face and head warm–even in subzero temperatures
I hiked most days in the Summer and I planned on continuing this exercise regimen year-round. However, the challenges of Winter time have proven that I needed to put on layers of clothing to keep warm. I’ve had a few go’s with this product and so far, I am completely satisfied with the way it works. I’ve even used it during the days during which an arctic breeze blew across the States and caused temperatures to plummet below 0. Despite the freezing temperatures, the balaclava had not failed me and continued to keep me warm. It works just as I hoped it would.Besides that, I am pleased with how the balaclava extends beyond just your face to cover well beyond your neck as well. What I did was I would slide the excess of the balaclava over my shirt and zip my jacket over it. Additionally, the balaclava has a mesh area over your mouth and nose to help you breathe better. It covers your entire face except your eyes. If you’re skiiing/hiking, you could perfectly fit snow or ski goggles right over that region of the balaclava. Lastly, the cost is a great deal for the product. I think it was well worth the price tag. Now I can peacefully continue my hikes in the snowy and cold months of the year.

Really good, but length is an issue
I wear this whenever it’s super cold outside and it’s perfect for keeping my face warm. The only issue is the length of it. I either have to tuck it into my shirt or it scrunches up and gets all sweaty inside. I’d recommend it, but it’s important to keep in mind how it fits.

Been working in the Alaskan seafood processing industry for 3 years now and finally came across a ski mask that keeps me warm, comfortable, of high quality material and breathable. It’s my best finding, have tried lot of them, but this is THE ONE.

Not bad for the price.
It’s not quite cold enough where I am to really need this yet, but I wore it around for a bit to get a feel for how it fits. I found it to be slightly too big in some areas. Since this is made as a “one size fits all” basis, there are no other sizes to try for a better fit. The only option would be to return it, and the fit isn’t bad enough to do that.In particular, it is too loose in the chin and jaw area. The cap portion fits me pretty well, so it seems like it was targeted at a head shape a bit different from mine, with a more pronounced jaw and chin. Something like Jay Leno, or Thanos, perhaps. Also fits a bit too tight across the nose.I wear glasses. Other reviews are mixed on reporting whether or not glasses tend to fog when wearing this mask. Based on some quick testing, I would say they are both right. When I put the balaclava on, I found that I was getting some slight fogging. However, if I pull the mask a little tighter under my eyes, the fogging stops. If it fits well on your face, the mask is designed well for preventing fogging. However, if it fits you a little more loosely, the air you exhale will sometimes take the path of least resistance, going up under your glasses instead of through the mesh. That being said, in my case it was only a slight fogging – nothing I can’t live with. I noticed that it tends to gradually ride up closer to my eyes than I would like for comfort, but when it does so the fogging is reduced.I got this primarily for occasional use, to keep my face and ears warm while working outside in cold weather. The fit isn’t perfect, but it’s good enough for my application and worth what I paid for it. If I were using it for something more athletic, or using it more often, I might want something a little better fitting. But for keeping my face warm while trimming trees and raking leaves every now and then, it should do a good job.

Adding onto my review with a 2nd buy. The made the mesh smaller than before hence I found the new version less breathable. Otherwise it’s still a perfect product.—Despite the negative comments, I found this item very nice to use. Ventilation is good and just cozy and warm in my situation. I am here at Vancouver for Cypress and Whistler mountains which aren’t so cold.
