Great Book For Any Occasion, Especially for 4, 5, and 6 Year Olds
This is one of my favorite books to read to children, particularly to 4, 5,and 6 year olds but can also be read to younger children (as an assistant teacher, I particularly recommend it for older preschoolers/kindergarteners because the vocabulary featured in the book is particularly challenging for young children, but it is still an awesome book for little ones because of all of the awesome pictures and teaches the alphabet). Iâve given this book to people in the past as a gift for baby gifts, birthdays, and just because and itâs a really great gift for any occasion. Many of the previous reviewers have written about how the book says âxâ for âexhaleâ. Even though I can confirm that this is what the book says, I also know that there are not a lot of words that begin with x and the word âexhaleâ really fits the theme of the book as opposed to using commonly used âxâ words for children like âxylophoneâ or âx-rayâ. I suggest either explaining to the child that the âeâ in âexhaleâ is silent, or if you are giving it as a gift, underline the x in the word âexhaleâ so that the child knows that the word âexhaleâ does not start with x but has a x in it. The only minor complaint that I have is that the material that the front/back cover is made out of can get scratched up SUPER easily. It definitely isnât the best front/back cover material for a childrenâs book so just be cautious about that, especially if youâre planning on giving it to someone as a gift.

This book is wonderfully put together with awesome illustrations by Daniela Sosa and easy to understand text. I love it! Leesa McGregor dedicated the book to all the children of the world. I was already sold on that. Thanks for creating a much needed ABC book on compassion.

As a second grade teacher I am using this as a social emotional building block and vocabulary builder. My goal and hope is by year end the class will know by heart each word for each letter. I have recommended this book and have bought it for a number of baby shower gifts.

Absolutely wonderful. I can’t wait to share this with my students when we go back to school. I love the vocabulary used! Kids NEED this! And the illustrations are great examples that kids can understand and relate to. In the back of the book, there are great discussion questions and examples to use with your little ones. I might even focus on one letter per week next year and dive deeper into each one. Maybe students could illustrate their own example for each letter through the year and in the end, have their own alphabet for humanity book!

This is exactly the book I wished for when my children were young. Now I can buy it for my grandchildren. I have always wanted to make the world a better place. Now this book helps. It explains very concisely and simply some of the most important concepts for making ours a more kind and loving world. I heartily recommend this book!

Book great- seller not pleased at all
The book itself is what I wanted but it was covered in something sticky all over the outside and some of the pages were stuck together with the same sticky stuff. Seemed like syrup or some kind of food. Cleaned it⦠not really pleased with the condition even after I cleaned it but Iâm not going to do anything about it at this point. Wished there had been more respect in selling it.
