Nice diffuser for my curly hair
I was looking for an extra wide diffuser for my curly hair and this one is nice and large. The price was great for such a great product. It’s a little loud. It’s big, so I use a smaller hair dryer for trips.

Great dryer for long, curly hair…
I have long (almost to my tailbone) curly 3C hair. I start drying on Medium heat, Low airflow for 5 minutes then switch to Low heat and leave it on the Low airflow setting throughout. I always use the diffuser. The size of the diffuser and the depth of the bowl are perfect for root lift on long hair, body, and beautiful spiral curls with little to no frizz. A flat bowl diffuser is not good for root lift and crushes my hair removing body. The other unique feature of this diffuser is that the back is completely open allowing for great airflow throughout, which makes for fast drying time and is even better to preserve curls. Other diffusers have a solid closed back with no air flowing through. On the low setting, it takes about 35 minutes to dry my hair and set the curls. I’ve had this dryer for about 3 years now and can say it continues to work very well and gives me beautiful, frizz-free, curly hair for days. I use Shea Moisture Leave-In (there are many to choose from, depending on your hair needs), curl cream, and a small amount of strong hold gel. I hope they continue to make this dryer so when this one wears out, I can buy another one. This is an excellent dryer at a great price and the results are better than what I get from the Dyson used at my salon (the Dyson has a flat bowl diffuser and a closed back preventing airflow).

This hair dryer changed my hair!
I was just about to cut off my curly hair because I was so frustrated with the inconsistent, undependable results with other dryers. I tried out at least four different hair dryers throughout the years. The curl volume was inconsistent, the curl hold was loose and fell out sometimes, and other parts were just frizzy. Plus other dryers were so hot on my scalp I had to take breaks when I was drying my hair.UNTIL I bought this hair dryer!I don’t know what the technology is but somehow this hair dryer makes my hair consistently curl over my entire head, my curls hold for hours and often times into the next day if I’m careful how I sleep on it and no frizz!. And I don’t have to take breaks because my scalp is on fire!I tell everyone I see that has curly hair and I can tell they are having the same problems I was having. I even send them the Amazon link to buy.The only reason I did not give it a 5 star review is because it is a large and heavy hair dryer.I made room for it in my luggage the last time I traveled because I didn’t want to go back to having awful hair but it takes up a lot of room. I wish they made a travel version.

    Excellent for curly hair
This is my favorite hair dryer and refuser. It keeps my curls tight and soft. It’s easy to use, the power amount is perfect, will work great for curls or if you want to round brush straighten your hair. Drying time is quick, appearance is stylish, and the heat setting are perfect.

Holy Curls!! Best blower for curls!!
I can not believe what a difference a blow dryer can do to my hair. My curls look fabulous! I love the big bowl on the diffuser and all the holes in it. It helps with the curls, and to add volume.

Large diffuser sets curls and dries quickly
I bought this blow dryer because it had a large diffuser, and it works very well. My hair is shoulder-length and thick, and I can get my curls “set” within a few minutes. The exterior of the diffuser has large vents, so a lot of airflow is lost through those, but that doesn’t appear to diminish the drying efficiency. I only rated it with two stars for traveling and weight, because it is large and rather heavy. But for my purposes, it works much better than prior diffusers I’ve used in the past.

If you diffuse, you must refuse!
Who knew that buying a new hairdryer with a diffuser would be so complicated!!I did a ton of research. I chose this one because I was intrigued by the large diffuser – it’s the biggest one I’ve ever seen! I figured I would pile all my hair into the giant bowl and it would be amazing! And they said the venting in the back is some fancy new design technology – and I can’t resist Science!Alas, there are some major problems with the diffuser:1. The diffuser has giant vent holes. Why is this a problem? Because it doesn’t really diffuse the air! It’s basically just blowing air through the giant venting, as if you didn’t even HAVE a diffuser. The purpose of a diffuser is to DIFFUSE the air so it doesn’t blow full blast on your curls. It is supposed to provide gentler air flow to dry your hair and diffuse the strong air flow that can destroy the curls and create frizz. But the holes aren’t small enough to actually diffuse the air.2. The diffuser has the giant venting holes on the BACK of the diffuser as well (like at the bottom of the “bowl”). Other diffusers are solid in the back. Wanna know why? Because otherwise all the air escapes out the back before it gets to your hair! This means it takes much longer to actually dry your hair because half of the air is shooting out the back. It makes no sense. (I honestly would like to know their rationale for this fancy new design…)3. This is the worst part: It actually causes more frizz!! If you place the diffuser at the nape of your neck, the air that escapes through the vents in the back blows air all over your curls. Goodbye curls, hello frizz. For reference, I have somewhat fine, wavy curls. Shoulder length (not a ton of hair). Maybe this whole design would be okay for another type of hair (I can’t imagine who. But maybe). Also, to be fair – I only bought this particular hair dryer because of the fancy new diffuser (and because the hair dryer itself met all my other requirements, based on my research). The hair dryer unit is fine. In fact, I thought about just buying an alternative (normal!) diffuser that is compatible with the hair dryer, but I ended up just giving it away to someone (who doesn’t have curls and doesn’t need a diffuser). Anyway, here is what I can tell you about it:1. It is longer than most hair dryers. The implication is that if you hold the dryer away from your head (which you kind of have to do when you are diffuse-drying your hair), your arm is farther away. Not a huge deal but it makes it kind of awkward.2. It’s kind of heavy, compared to other hairdryers. I know this because I currently have six hair dryers in my house (long story). You probably wouldn’t notice unless you had six hair dryers in your house to compare it to. But, the weight combined with the awkward position of holding it farther away from your head can cause discomfort. Especially if you have literally no upper body strength, like me.3. It didn’t run super hot, which I appreciated. The Low, Medium, High heat is accurate (unlike some dryers where Medium is hot and Hot is scalding). This is a big plus, and another endorsement of the hair dryer itself. In summary: If you diffuse, you must refuse. But if you just want decent hair dryer, then go for it.

It’s efficient and does its job easily and properly. I am picky about my hair dryers and this one passes with ease. I have thick curly hair, and not just the dryer but the diffuser that comes with it does a great job. When I first saw it, I was concerned by the size of the diffuser, but when using it, I found it really good. It gently cups whatever part of my head that I use it on and then does what it’s supposed to do… really well!I also really like and appreciate that the low speed control actually has some guts to it. Usually the low speed is so wimpy on hair dryers that I feel I could do just as good of a job, just blowing from my mouth — if I could just get my mouth closer to anything other the ends, lol. The cool switch control is also well designed. Too often I find that it becomes warm under usage, but not on this one. And the cool shot button actually works with this setting, which is also unusual. The only complaint I have is how the diffuser attaches to the dryer. In my previous experience (see photos one and two), they’re just waiting to crack and break, as happened with my previous Conair hair dryer that has the same type of connector. Despite me being so careful with it, the lip cracked and broke after only a year, and continued to crack and chip out until it was no longer usable. The third and fourth photos are of a diffuser from a much older Conair dryer I had and despite having that dryer in use for well over six years, the connector design of how the diffuser attaches to the dryer is still undamaged. Luckily I found that it will fit the new dryer if need be when this one cracks — and unfortunately, it will! But still, Conair really needs to look into this. One huge big flaw in an otherwise awesome hair dryer!

Honest review of this blow dryer. I really like the diffuser. It helps accentuate my curls. It doesn’t blow them around it lets them scrunch in the diffuser and dry like that. My hair is wavy but not super curly so it helps!Con: because it’s not just blowing through the dryer my roots don’t dry as quickly. I usually have to take the ends of my hair out and just hold the diffuser to my head to get the roots dry.Timewise: it may be slightly more time than my previous dryer but not significantly longer.Overall. I really like it. It’s not crazy loud. The diffuser is the best I’ve ever used and I’m super happy with how it holds the curls better.

Ideal para cabello rizado, el secado queda padrísimo! Buena potencia, calidad y diseño, no resulta pesado y no se enreda en los chinos.
