Wish theyâd make a second book to continue using this
Writing review after completing book. It helped my 8 year old so much. Itâs starts out easy and slowly moves into more difficult sounds. My son was reading before we started this workbook. He could read, he struggled causing him to get frustrated and dislike reading. He still does not love reading, however he can read age appropriate books without tears and thatâs something.

Excellent Resource!
I bought this book to help my 11 year old. She struggles with reading and decoding words. This book took her back to the basics and brought her up to digraphs. I love the “learn, practice, review” format. She’s even noticed how much she’s progressed since we started using the book and we’re not even half way done.

Good book for 3rd/4th graders who struggle with phonics/reading.
My son loves this book. It is a bit easy for 4th-6th grade, probably closer to a 3rd grade level. I had to pull teeth to get him to do the previous curriculum. There are reading and phonics sections. The one downfall is the book does not go over grammar. I would recommend this book for anyone who is struggling the have their child read and learn phonics.

As a lifelong educator, I believe that phonics is an essential skill in learning to read. This workbook begins with the basics and progresses through almost every phonics skill needed to have a successful reader. If you aren’t familiar with phonics then you’d need to buy an accompanying answer book. It has been very helpful for one of our students who was very behind in reading.

Helpful resource, but..
I teach 3rd and 4th grade literacy and always love finding new practice sheets. This book provides a sheet or two for identified deficits in decoding. Many of the worksheets are good, but some are hard to follow or don’t really practice the target skill. All in all I am glad to have it on my shelf, but it certainly isn’t a total answer.
