It took 4 days to arrive, but local shops did not have basic digital terms in stock ! ?
Easy to use. Seems accurate. Fast!
But
No storage cover.
No beeps or other sounds.
No disposable probe covers, which the instructions require.
I used a bit of Saran wrap, worked fine.

Fast, ez to read
I work in the animal field, and obviously some animals are NOT happy about having their temps checked. Luckily this works fast, is nice and bright, and easy to read. Def worth the money imo

No protective cover/case
Itâs fast, the light is bright, and itâs easy to use. It seems accurate enough. I like the general design, however am confused about why there is no protective case that comes with it. Every thermometer Iâve ever bought had some kind of cover for the sensor end.

Good, Consistent Readings
I am immunocompromised and must constantly monitor for fever as a sign of infection. Fever for me means check into the emergency room and be prepared for a hospital stay. I have a home healthcare nurse that comes by every day to monitor vitals, among other things. I also monitor my own temp, and I ALWAYS use both a temporal and oral thermometer side by side. I bought this Vicks SpeedRead to replace my previous oral that stopped working.
Several reviews say this thermometer reads high. I found that to be true the first couple of times I used it. I was about to return it when it seemed to “calibrate” so to speak. At that point it fell in line with my own temporal thermometer, as well as both of my nurses who use both oral and temporal. IOW, it is consistent with 5 other thermometers, verified by at least two other thermometers daily. I’ve been using it multiple times a day for about 6 weeks and it is dead-on accurate. I trust it and recommend it.

No case included
I am a visiting nurse and I have been so for the last 20 years. I have used the thermometer for the last 20 years and it is the best thermometer I have ever used. It always came with the clear case because I keep it in my nursing bag. It no longer comes with the case or at least mine didnât so I canât use it for work because I have nothing to store it in safely. Very disappointed that this change was made.

I love how quick this thermometer reads!
It reads quick and the numbers are big enough to see without needing glassed. I also like that it has different colors so you know before you even look at the number if you are running high or low.
