Easy to use and accurate if used properly
It’s easy to use (for most people) and the color code helps. Measuring forehead temperature can be affected by the environment. It’ll be inaccurate if the distance is wrong or the forehead/body was just exposed to outdoor cold/warm temperature. Make sure to stay in a temperature stable/comfortable indoor environment at least for a while before the measurement.
It may not be convenient for seniors to check temperature for themselves. The no touch part is actually challenging as they may have trouble positioning/holding it steady in front of the forehead for just a few seconds. An in-ear thermometer would be easier to guide (rest in the ear) for them and reading will almost always be accurate (unlikely affected by environment).
Have to say it’s more fun to use it (for me) than an in-ear thermometer and it adds versatility with the capability of measuring water/liquid temperature.

The unit is not accurate
I was excited to use this new technology( new to me), and when it arrived I put the batteries they supply in and took a reading. It read pretty fast. Since I just used a digital oral thermometer and it was a different reading. I decided to verify that they were both accurate. The oral kept getting the same numbers, but the Braunâs numbers kept changing each time. The manual recommended that I calibrate the unit and then try again. I followed the instructions and it didnât change the readings. Unfortunately, I had to send it back for a refund. Technology is great when it works, but when it doesnât it just makes things more difficult. Donât waste your money and time on this machine.

Great thermometer
I have several digital thermometers and it seems like they are inconsistent. I love the Braun thermometer. It is easy to use and read and is more accurate. Also my grandchildren love that it changes colors based on the temperature so they donât mind me taking their temperature multiple times.

Works well and accurate
Works well overall and is accurate. We had a different one and it would never read the same number. This one is consistent and seems to be accurate which is nice in panic times with a sick baby.
