Fun workbook
Fun exercises to practice phonics. Not too much hand writing which my (Homeschooled 1st grader) daughter loves about this book. This and the word families are her favorite. This has more thorough practice and better activities than its kumon equivalent. (We use that one too but it seems too easy for her.)

Improvement in just one day!!!
It cycles 1 to 8 for each vowel and the reputation just helps it click in my sons head. It slowly gets harder as it goes and I’m just so proud of how smart my son is with this book. I ment to start with word families first but couldnt find it for a moment. Word family is a little easier but my son had no issues jumping into this book. I’m so happy and proud of him

Old school is better
In the past phonix was taught with word families. Showing whether the vowel sound was long or short.Can, fan, man, fan… This helps to establish with repitition in the childs mind, the sound that the letters “an” make. Then on the back of the card, after they give their guess, there is a picture on what the word depicts. Children need this repetition for success! I can’t find that on amazon at all. Kids are set up for struggling any other way presented.

Hooked on phonics
My little man is has just turned 5 and is flying through learning to read using phonics while his 6 year old sister is struggling in kindergarten with sight words. I’m getting another book to do with her.
