Game changer
Bought this tymo porta hair straightener in December of 2023 and it has stopped working October 2024 won’t stay on even after charging it won’t heat up ether but when it did work WOW let me tell you game changer.Order update 10/12/24 customer service reach out with a refund offer but I wanted a replacement tymo porta instead they will be sending me a replacement free of charge.Update 11/1/24 my replacement porta arrived beautifully customer service is absolutely amazing and all of the tymo hair styling products are amazing and game changing.

Terrible! Wonât hold a charge. Not worth buying!
I initially saw this hair straightener all over Facebook posted by many different influencers who I follow and I thought it would be a great idea to be able to take to the gym or keep in my purse as a touch up as needed when Iâm out and about. When I received the item, I plugged it in and it took about four hours to charge to full. I used it for about 8 to 10 minutes on my hair and it did a decent job, not as good as my plug-in electrical hair straightener would do, but I liked that it was cordless and I could take it anywhere with me. The next day I went to go use it after coming home from running errands and just needed a quick run through on my dry hair. The battery was already dead even though Iâd only used it the day before for 8 to 10 minutes and when I tried to use it the second time I feel like I wasted two hours getting it back charged again and it didnât even heat up enough to reduce the amount of frizz and Crimps in my hair. I expected so much more from this product but sadly, I am returning this after only owning it for a few days. Itâs not worth the money. Do not believe with the influencers on Facebook or Instagram. Weâre telling you about this product because itâs trash.

I have frizzy, fine hair and don’t have much volume and hence don’t prefer using flat iron to straighten as it makes my hair look even more sleek and takes away the volume. But that was not the case when I used tymo porta. It heated up very quickly, did its job (straighten) and still did not make my hair look less voluminous. I will be carrying it everywhere I travel.Will always be in my bag from now on.I like the size (of course it’s portable so it’s gotta be small) and how it feels while straightening hair. Felt pretty grippy and didn’t feel like it can easily slip or fall off from your hand.Overall amazing product. I highly recommend for anyone looking for a portable straightener..2 cons:1. I wish the travel pouch was big enough to fit the charger and cable in it but thats not a deal breaker and all2. I wish the heating plate/bristle part was removable so it can be cleaned. Not sure if it need to be cleaned. Sometimes product can deposit and collect in between the bristles ?

Great for traveling, easy to charge, small enough to store in purse and easy to use.
The device works fine and feels nice in the hand, heats up fairly quickly, a little overpriced in my opinion. It does straighten hair but I have fine thin hair and was under the impression it would give me a kind of blow out look which it didn’t do at all. Also made my hair feel a little static. I do love how small it is and I can re-straighten my hair during lunch break if itâs super humid outside or raining. I will say the charge only lasts one hour if you are using it on the highest setting. Not meant for long term use.

Only use for quick touch ups
Hello, this was a mother’s day gift from my husband. Just got it today. As you can see in the 1st picture my hair that’s down is straight with the brush, the top have is still my natural hair…I had to stop and put the brush back on the charger….I did exactly what the instructions say. Let charge for 2 hours, part your hair in even strands etc and I’m like 20 minutes through and it’s dead. I had to plug it back in to charge…me personally I think I could get my hair done faster with my straightener that I have but this heat up brush is definitely good for just a quick touch up. Wouldn’t recommend using it to straighten the whole head of hair unless it’s short and a 10 minute done thing. My hair as you can see is long, curly and think so definitely not good for a whole head of hair. Will definitely travel with it. But won’t use it again to straighten my entire head of hair with it. It takes me 45 minutes to straighten my hair with my regular hair straightener. This is taking me a lot longer. Also I do not have a problem with it charging or heating. Just the fact that it dies to quickly. Hope this helps anyone else looking to buy the product…the last 2 photos one I just woke up from the 2nd one I used the brush to touch up my hair and it worked amazing…I let the brush charge all night long…I’m gonna try and use it again on my full head with a good charge and see how it goes but looks like it’s really just made for quick touch ups when your out and about.

Great concept, burns hair and doesnât straighten fully
Great concept, really was excited about it. Unfortunately, I used it only once to test and saw it was essentially just burning the hair (I tried the medium and high settings, and have fine curly hair) as you have to go over the same strands repeatedly to get them straight, and without being able to use heat protectant products it singes the hair. See my photo was all that fell off from being burned. Also, it was still not fully smooth/straight like it would be with a hair iron. If youâre in a pinch and need to go over already straight hair while traveling/without access to an outlet, it could be useful, but it overall seems damaging and not as effective as the marketing videos. Hopefully another version will come out that can work with heat protectant and/or is more effective.Also – it comes with a great carrying case, USB charger and 2 hair pins, but the case isnât big enough to hold the charger and pins :/, so not really as efficient/convenient for throwing in a bag on the go as hoped.
