I loved this came with the batteries needed already. I got it on sale so it was at an amazing price! Easy to put the batteries in on the bottom and started right up. Initially it comes up red but once you hit the trigger it reads temperature. The design makes it very simple to use even without directions. Perfect size to fit in diaper bag or med bag for babies, comfortable to hold in hand and seems decently durable.
