The straps work great. The soft padding they’re made out of protects my rods and secures them to the rings on the side of my fishing backpack. The straps are actually slightly longer than I was expecting, but that’s better than them being too short. It was easy to just wrap the excess strap around itself on the rod, so no problem, and the velcro holds it all tightly. They seem sturdy enough, I’ve pulled and stretched them, and don’t see any tearing on the stitching or anything. I don’t believe having them fall apart will ever be an issue. Plus, it comes with a bunch of straps, which means I have extras. I’m pretty pleased with them overall, and would buy them again if I ever needed more.
