Great for casual wear
This is meant as a “quick-on” product for casual wear, like walking across a slippery parking lot, sidewalk, or driveway, and for this I think it is excellent. It slips easily over your shoes, and you can tighten it up to keep it sturdy. Then, when you reach the building/car you are entering, a quick slip around will keep the studs from scratching the flooring or impeding your walking on “regular” surfaces, or you can just slip them back off for later. While you’re walking in them, they stay put, so you’re not fighting your shoes as well as the ice. The studs are significant enough to give you grip, but not so much that you don’t have full contact with the ground over your entire shoe.I love that there is also a carry pouch, so you can keep them together (I would absolutely lose one of them if I had to try to keep track of both of them myself).I originally got these with my dad in mind, who is getting older and could really get hurt if he slipped and fell this winter. However, I love these so much, I might have to get another pair, so we can each stay safe. This particular version is a little pricey, so maybe watch for a sale, but I do recommend getting the metal studs over plastic.

Convenient size, easy to put on
I give these ice cleats high marks for convenience. They are small enough to keep in my Jeep for emergencies, and while they do not work as well as full cleats (only because they cover a smaller area), they definitely work in a pinch. I like the fact that they can also be rotated when walking indoors so that you don’t scuff floors, but in my opinion, it’s not practical enough to make them usable every day throughout the winter (rotating them does take a bit of effort). Still, the convenience of having a back up pair in the Jeep at all times makes me glad I ordered these. When you live in a small mountain town, you come across patches of snow and ice pretty regularly.

Genius and Perfect for Seniors!
OK. These are the best ice cleats out there. Here’s why. The others look seriously dangerous, with all sorts of sharp edges that have to be stretched over your shoe, front to back …. but then you have to pull them off and put them where? as you go shopping or to church?These are the only ones I’ve seen that you wear the cleats down, while walking on a slick icy parking lot, then when you get inside… you rotate the cleats UP so you aren’t walking on cleats inside a store. Genius! No need to take them on and off until you get back to your car or inside your house.They even come with a nice vinyl storage pocket and instructions. I will keep them in the storage pocket in my car. So excited for these as I’m a Senior and I just panic horribly on ice. I will just feel better having a little something to make me feel more secure when I go to the store and suddenly remember the ice on that big parking lot. Thank you for making these!

Very handy for hiking
I think these are great! They are perfect for hikes where you don’t know if there will be ice or not. You can wear them with the clips on the top of your foot, and then flip them around when you encounter ice. They look well made and they can fit all size of feet. And they are super easy. They are lightweight and you can carry them in your pocket, easily.

Not the best grip, but easy to put and carry.
I live in colorado and I do trails in winter, during and after snowing. You will encounter ICE at some part of the trail, or may be not.All standard chains takes a little bit of time to set it up. You normally install them when getting out of the car. And you may wear them all the trail and then found out that there was no ice. The thing is that chains and some of the spikes that I have, they dont perform well on rocks. I encounter the moment when I had to remove them to go trough a path that was mostly rock.This pair wont be better grip than any chain or spike, but will be super easy to install, to put it away without even removing it, but if you want the removal is easy too, and they wont take much space in your pocket or backpack.So what it lacks on grip it levels with the ease of install and carry.So far it performs great. Its good to have in your car too, when for some unexpected reason you need to go out in a zone with some icing.

Not for real use
I put these on to go hiking with my friends. They are uncomfortable to wear. When standing you have a lump under your shoe. I was rocking from toe to heal just standing there. While hiking with them the one kept sliding off my foot. I tightened the strap to where they were tight on my shoe and it did not help. The snow was on top of ice and only a couple of inches thick. These might work if you just need something so you can run across campus during the winter.
