The Physics Book
I had heard that this was a good book for learning physics. While it is entertaining, and I have enjoyed reading it, there are no physics problems or solutions. It is more of a history book about who came up with what idea and the significance of those ideas. It give a small biography of the people that came up with the ideas, usually a couple of pages per idea. It is educational, and a good read, but if you are looking for a book to teach you how to solve physics problems this is not the book.

Beautifully written reference book on a variety of my favourite topics with plenty of pertinent illustrations. Written for the layman in a manner that one doesn’t require a PhD to follow along.
