This is great!
This shampoo is amazing! So I’m a natural brunette with red pigment, but I’ve been coloring my hair blond for 10 years. I have balayage and I color new growth with hair color. Normally, I go to a professional to get my hair done, but due to the move, I’m using box color, very light perl blond. While my highlighted bits of hair remained white, the roots, after my last touchup were somewhat orange. I bought this shampoo to get rid of the brasiness in the roots, but I was worried that my bleached hair would get grey which I don’t like at all. None of this happened. I washed my hair once with my regular shampoo, then one time with the violet shampoo, and another time with my regular shampoo. I left the violet shampoo on my hair for about a minute, I could have left it a bit longer, but regardless, it took out all the brassiness and it didn’t turn my highlights grey. My hair looks exactly like when professionals do it. Also, my hair was soft, I was worried it would become dry since I have very fine hair, of course I applied a hair mask after shampoo. Anyway, great product. Love it! I see myself using it maybe one a week.

Great! But here’s some tips for you…
This shampoo is great and definitely takes the brassiness out of my highlighted hair. Just a few tips for using it:First of all, you most likely don’t want to use it every single day/wash. I use it every other wash, otherwise my hair kind of feels….greasy? I’m not sure what it is but if I only use it every other time I wash, I don’t have this problem, probably since my other shampoo gets all the extra stuff of that I might have missed before.Second, I let it sit beyond the 2 minutes. Maybe more like 3-4 mins. I use nice hot water so the hair cuticle opens and accepts the purple better. Then I use my regular conditioner (joico moisture recovery…which is the best stuff for dry hair) and rinse with cool water. That seals the cuticle and locks in the moisture better.Third. When rinsing, I highly recommend scrubbing at your scalp until you get it out as much as possible. Your scalp can turn an odd purple hue if you don’t do this and you might have a residue left behind that makes your hair a little crunchy when it dries. So make sure you run your hands through and scrub a little to get it all out.This shampoo is great at moisturizing (in my opinion) it makes my hair softer than my Joico moisture recovery shampoo (with moderation). It also smells so good to me. To some people it smells too strong or like cologne. But I really like it. I recommend giving it a try if you want a cheaper purple shampoo. And give it a few times for your hair to accept it. The first time I used it there wasn’t much difference but once I used it more and more, I started to see a big difference.

I have several highlights on my hair! I used it 1 time and my hair endded up soooo dry and hard! I had to use a ton of hair conditioner and a hair mask to be able to pass my fingers through my hair again!

It might be my imagination, but it does seem to make my white hair less obvious amid my black strands.
