High waist, tummy control, not see through.
Purchased The Gym People thick high waist capri leggings in Black in size Medium. I’m 5 feet 7 inches, 153 pounds, waist 32 inches, hips 42 inches. Referring to the two size charts if going by waist hip/measurement (first image) I probably should have purchased size L or XL.Going by the 2nd image, it indicated between 5’7″ and 5’8″ and 150-170 pounds, I needed size Medium. I went with the Medium. They fit but are quite tight especially in the waist. I have to pull quite firmly to get them up over my thighs to fit comfortably in the crotch area – so maybe a Large would have been more comfortable? The good thing is that once on, they don’t move about or ride down which means no thigh chafing. I really like the extra wide waistband with tummy control compression as I feel everything is firmly ‘held in place’ when wearing them and I have not had any problems with the waistband rolling down or folding over. The material is thick but stretchy – absolutely not see-through at all so no panties showing through the material in the butt area – and I’m able to move about comfortably. Only just noticed the listing says ‘hand wash only’ which I probably should have paid attention to but I’ve put them through the washing machine with no problem at all – they kept their shape, no pilling, and no stretching out of the waist.

Because I’m old AF, Activewear really isn’t my jam. I prefer a more classic look for every day. However two life events took place that made me change my mind. The first was a 17-pound Pandemic weight gain. If I had a dollar for every bag of tortilla chips I consumed during the last six months, I would be able to afford to move back to NYC! And not have to work! The second event was cataract surgery ( and yes-when you get old it’ll happen to you!). Forgetting about the impact this pandemic has in connection on healthcare, I recently had the first of two cataract surgeries. Dopey me. I wore a little black dress thinking I would have to change in a hospital gown. Instead, I had to wear my lbd during surgery! Not wanting to expose my gorgeous panties or worse, a blanket was placed over me.Needless to say my thoughts were “NFW am I wearing a dress to my next surgery”. And so, I let my fingers do the walking over to Amazon! And I found these leggings/ pants/ activewear thingies. Oh am I thrilled with them!Regardless of my expanding hips, thighs and gut, I went with the Medium. At 5’6” and 157 lbs, the fit is fabulous! My gut is sucked in and the high waist is super Post-menopause friendly! I’ll admit, these could be a tad longer in the leg but it isn’t a deal-breaker!The fabric is thick and opaque so you can keep transparency for your personality rather than what you’re wearing!And these have pockets!! Holy Cannoli! Pockets! When I go back for my second cataract surgery, I can slide my insurance cards and IDin one pocket and my cell phone in the other! This is epic as purses aren’t allowed at the surgical center! Who knew that this activewear would come in handy as surgical attire? And I can work out too! Well, I’m lazy so let’s just say I can walk my dog in these pants!The price is right, the fit is flattering and fabulous Nd I need another pair! These are great! Comfy and snug with poco
These are great for walks / workouts when I want to carry my phone hands free. Pocket is large and fits phone easily. Pants are comfy and soft. Pattern is fun as well. I sized out for better fit. Wear XS bought S and it fits great.

Me encantaron!!! Para empezar la presentación es súper linda, vienen en una bolsita. Me gustaron xq a lo lejos parecen leggings brillosas, pero son de algodón! Súper cómodos!!! Pedí XL xq no me gusta que me queden apretados, creo que una L hubiera estado mejor, la tela estira mucho. La tela se siente súper suavecita. No se bajan, no se transparentan, puedes hacer sentadillas sin ningún problema! Realmente superaron mis expectativas! Voy a comprar más! Y las bolsitas son un súper plus! Súper recomendable

I was pleasantly surprised by these capri-style leggings. They fit well and are thick enough to be non-transparent.I am usually and Australian size 14 or 16, so I ordered the X-Large. I reckon they would just about stretch to fit a size 18 and might be a tad too loose for a size 12. Meaning that, as stretchable clothing, they’re good for a reasonable range of sizes.
