I bought this for me but my kids took it over. Heats up quick. Set it what you want it on. We use med to high heat bc we all have thick hair. Gets close to the scalp. My 11 year old love it bc she had curly hair amd her hair is most curly at the root. Safer to use than flat irons (my kids..16 and 11..havent burned themselves on it yet lol).
