just a nice solid travel fishing pole set.
for the price this is very good quality. Here is what you get1. a nice telescoping pole that is perfect for taking on trips either by foot, bike, or car. compact and easy to pack or carry. while it is true that the best action pole is a one piece pole you always sacrifice action for convivence but this pole still has plenty of action and will cast and handle a fish well2. A nice solid reel with a folding handle that makes it easy to store and transport. The reel runs smoothly and when paired with the reel casts a far distance3. it comes with a spool of 12 lb line to fill the reel which is helpful so you don’t have to purchase line separately4. it also comes with a handy plastic compartmentalized box filled with a Varity of weights, jig heads, slip bobber stops, swim bait/ plastic worm hooks, and even a really nice slip weight snap swivel that is a design I have not seen before but they really nice , and some regular swivels. basically everything you would need for doing some slip bobber fishing except for the slip bobbersconclusion:For the price this is a really nice travel fishing pole set that is of good quality and well worth the 5 stars.

Good little take-along
I got the Fishing Pole Combo Set for my husband because he’s a pole collector and he loves to go hiking with me. It’s a good little compact pole and tiny tackle box for that purpose. I can’t review on how the pole is since I don’t fish, but it seems like it’s a good set up. The reel is metal and has some weight to it, spins fine. The tackle seems like basic starter stuff, nothing fancy. Toss it in the hiking pack and have some fun when you get to a lake. It weighs basically nothing.

Good option for air travel into places that are too good to pass up!
Qualifier, I am a fishing equipment snob, so my expectations will not be compared to some of the finer fishing rods and reels. Upon stating that, this is a great option for airline travel to Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, and Washington. I’ve been to those places without a fishing rod or reel, and it was painful! So the carbon fiber pole seems good enough, but it doesn’t have the super sensitive tip. It collapses down nicely, and has a plastic holder to align the eyelets and keep the rod short. The fishing reel was better and smoother than I expected. I look forward to trying this reel on some bigger fish. The line is 15# and not 2.5# line, and it is super nylon line, which I have never used before. I am used to fluorocarbon or braided lines, which have certain superior properties depending on usage. The included tackle is interesting and should be adequate to catch and hold fish. The tackle is mainly geared towards bass fishing, jig fishing, or using live bait, so I will add other tackle. Thus as a travel rod and reel set, this should be good enough to get you out fishing in remote areas. If you get a world record fish on, I can’t vouch for this package, but you never know.
