Doesnât Break
I learned that many brands of dental floss contain a cancer causing agent. This product does not. I was worried that the dental floss would be cheap and snap apart while being used. It did not. Itâs strong and still slips easily through teeth.

Pfas free
Was looking for a pfas free floss. This works great. It does take getting used to the stretch. I think I found my new go to floss.

Best I can find
I was looking for an alternative to Reach Woven Floss and this is the best I’ve found so far. I think it’s the only viable alternative unfortunately, but it’s pretty good relatively speaking.
For years I had been using Reach Woven Floss, mint flavor. I bought a large quantity, maybe a 20 pack, years ago off Amazon. When I started running out, I noticed they changed the name to Listerine (for not apparent reason), and removed the Mint flavor. I was a little ticked off so I started shopping around, but nothing was quite the same in terms of comfort and thorough cleaning capability. So, I bit the bullet and bought some of the Listerine Cinnamon flavor and moved on.
Then, they discontinued all woven floss, for no reason whatsoever. I suspect it was a patent issue, or a production cost issue, or perhaps some product manager just made a decision without talking to their customers. I looked for it on eBay and elsewhere and it’s priced like gold – $20-30/package. Ridiculous. So, I started shopping around for alternatives. I tried quite a few of the “woven” flosses and they are all pretty terrible, and also expensive in many cases. I don’t like the expandable floss, and the charcoal floss seems like a dumb idea to me, especially given the black residue it sometimes left in my mouth.
I finally broke down and bought some of this, and it’s reasonably decent. It doesn’t tear easily, it’s way better than just regular floss, it’s infinitely better than the satin plastic stuff which in my opinion doesn’t clean well at all. It will tear if you pull hard, but it’s cheap and doesn’t fray when it tears, so it’s reasonable in that regard. It stretches, which I don’t really care about, but it isn’t annoying. The texture is better than straight plastic, which is very useful for cleaning.
After thinking about it, the stretch is a nice touch only for the health of my fingers – it prevents a little bit of the blood flow cut that occurs in non-stretchy floss.
I am giving it only 4 stars because of the product decisions of JNJ. Discontinuing Reach was not necessary. Discontinuing woven floss was not necessary, and created a black market of sorts for those who need it. Calling this Listerine is not necessary. Listerine in general is not necessary – read a little bit about the power of saliva, and how you don’t get infections in open wounds in your mouth easily, and you’ll realize you shouldn’t be killing off microbes in your mouth with listerine (Gulp is a good book if you want to dig further into this).
But, amongst all possible floss options that are still available for purchase, this is my favorite.

I use it every night for tight teeth.

My favorite dental floss.
Glides easily. But to too slippery. Just perfect.

Not bad, not great, and at least it doesn’t shred.
This is much more of a dental tape than a string floss. It begins as a somewhat wide band of floss and not so much a single string. But as you tighten it up, it stretches out and becomes more like a string than tape. It’s a bit weird. The other odd thing is the sound it makes as you pull it down (or up) between your teeth. It makes a loud “snapping” noise I’ve never heard dental floss make. I can’t decide if it’s annoying or not, but it sure is strange.
One good thing is, unlike some other dental flosses I’ve tried, it does not shred or leave little threads of floss between your teeth. That’s a relief compared to some other brands.
It’s not a bad floss, but just not quite what I wanted. I may try to finish the roll of floss and see if I like it better, but the oddities are a bit strange so it’s not quite a normal floss.

Great Floss It Never Breaks
I love this dental floss as it never breaks in my close areas around my teeth. The string floss always breaks in one area of my mouth, but this rubbery floss never breaks.

I am very picky when it comes to floss, it has to be just right â not too thick, but not too thin either, it needs to be thin and flexible/elastic enough to get in-between tightly pressed teeth but still be able to provide the thickness necessary to clean more loosely spaced teeth; it also needs to be gentle on your gums without you having to be super careful when you floss so as not to accidentally cut your gums; and of course the flossâ surface needs to be able to actually clean your teethâs surface. This floss delivers on all fronts and Iâm happy I gave it a try. I just hope the quality will remain consistent for a long time to come and the company wonât mess with a good product like it so often happens.

Bought this item twice, and was given 1 not 5 as mentioned on the page. Too good to be true

Great product and flosses well.
However my favorite is the original one (Original Mint). The tapes were purple in color. They were the best, they stretch and do not hurt the gums and I believe they are no longer available. I usually buy them in bulk. And I miss them. If they return I will buy them in bulk again.
