Great value.
I’ll admit it, I bought these because they are half the price of most other products out there. But I’m tired of buying waterproof hikers that aren’t, of buying name brand boots that have clearly lost something in quality yet still expect us to pay a more premium price, or buying ‘features that basically don’t really differentiate or separate the boots from everything else. Columbias, Tims, and Merrells have all let me down recently.I’m at the point where I only get a year out of my boots anymore anyway, so why pay two and a half times more and still need to replace them each year when I can buy these and do the same for a better price. These HI_TEC boots are as comfortable as the others (more so in a few cases). The toe box is roomy and doesn’t pinch, is flexible at the base of the toes and doesn’t pressure my foot there, and the lacing works snugly against my arch and keeps my foot in place even on steeper terrain. The footbed overall is cushioning and I can go all day in these. The stitching is solid, the panels and other components are put together well and the upper seems reasonably well anchored to the sole. These boots have maintained their waterproof ability after a month of daily use on my farm, including dew drenched pastures, muddy puddles, being caught in downpours, and so on.So so far, these are providing great value and unless they fall apart before then, if I get a year out of them then they’ve done their job.Edit: 10/16/23 Ok, these are finally starting to fall apart. The stitching that holds the black front bumper to the upper is fraying/rotting and falling out , especially at the sides where the upper flexes, and they are starting to separate.Having said that, I’ve gotten over 4 months of use out of them. I wore them pretty much every day, and doing a rough calculation with my step tracker, I got 1, 800,000 steps with them, averaging 7 miles a day. Most of the wear was outside, either around my property while I did farm chores or walking dogs. For me, the price/performance was 4.5 stars. I bought them for hard use during the summer and they gave me exactly that, without paying three times as much when I know I won’t get three times the life.

Amazing boots
After a year they have held up wonderfully. Comfy, waterproof, durable, all around awesome.

Haven tried them yet, but!
First off Iâm no hiker, and Iâm physically not able to do anything close to a real hike anymore. So my wife and I do walks, sometimes they are very easy hiking trails that most avid hikers would laugh at, having said that, Iâve gotten my feet wet and ankle twisted in a few questionable âeasyâ trails, so I need something with support and comfort. These look amazing for the price! I did change the inner sole, as others have recommended, much nicer now, (walking around the house). Iâm a 10.5 XX-XXX wide. These fit me, however, the right shoe was a bit loose. So I added a heal pad to the interior, now they fit perfectly! It will take me a few months before I can really test them out, but for my occasional use, Iâm sure they will be fine. If they fall short of my expectations, Iâll make sure to update this review.

These boots are TOUGH. an great buy
When I ordered these for my son I first thought I was making a mistake. Because he is so picky. But I ordered them anyway. I received them a told him I had got a good pair of hiking boots for him an he could wear around farm working. Well after a couple of weeks. He put them on a did some fencing a working in hills cutting trees. That evening he was speechless about the books. He said we should get another pair for a backup. I ask why. He said these are the most comfortable boot Iâve ever worn a they are light on my feet an have great grip when climbing mountains. Clean up good. He was worn them every single day heâs had to work outside an also to meetings. They are about 3 years old a still in great shape. I intend to order another pair for him after Christmas. For him to say this about the boots is a good story. Because heâs very critical of stuff. They are reasonable a made well to stand up to the places a roughness he puts them thru. These are great. Iâd buy an will buy again. GREAT BOOTS.

Decent hiking boot. But not wayerproof
Dropped about 300 miles before I decided to post a review. They are quite comfy to start with a quick break in time, first 10 miles or so at 240lbs. Laces are as stated by others, a bit unremarkable in durability. The boots soak up water like a sponge, any thing past the outsole starts creeping in and if there’s ever a bit of water that brushes up to the laces they start soaking through the tongue. The dritech seems to be more geared towards attempting to be breathable yet waterproof, ð¬ and although they fry quickly I’m walking I. A swamp by the 3rd hour in regular dry conditions, and in wet, muddy, splashing water they fail miserably as a waterproof boot. As far as comfort goes, they are solid and roomy witg toe space to spare.

Good boots for price
I bought a second pair of these boots to finish up a 6 month season of 40-hr/wk landscaping. Iâve had all the expensive hiking boots and landscaping is as good a test as any hiking. These pass as well as Vasque, Keen, Solomon. Seems like those expensive boots arenât what they used to beâ¦.. Not Gore-Tex but Hi-Tec comes pretty close.

8 out of 10
I would say the run small. I normally wear a 10 wide. They didn’t have wide so I ordered a 10 and a half expecting there to be extra room.My pinky toe and my big toe were smushed, and not enough room in front of my big toe at .5 bigger.Enough about the bad, the style and downward pressure were very nice, The roll in the soul of the shoe, making it comfortable to get up onto your toes was nice. All around. I think this will be a very capable boot. And that being said, I am going to research this company and see if they make a wide boot and try them.

I bought this three times returning twice! Since I live in Asia sizes here are very hard to determine since sellers purchase their merchandise from various sellers in Asia at a cheaper cost. Soâ¦I always try to order a size bigger. My son who is 6â4 and wears a US 12.5-13 with a wider foot factor made it hard to decipher. He is happy with a size regular 13 as there are no half sizes. Itâs very comfy. Do not get wide unless you have extremely wide feet.
