Iâve used this since I was little, it has a great taste, leaves my teeth polished and clean. Itâs not fancy with too many ingredients. I was frustrated that Walmart had dozens of Crests and Colgates, but not one Pepsodent!Pepsodent is the rare toothpaste that doesn’t create a burning sensation to your teeth and gums. People brush longer and more thoroughly when the experience is pleasant.Pepsodent is also a value priced brand. I suppose endorsements cost a lot, and Pepsodent tries to keep the price affordable by not buying endorsements and advertising.I had been unaware the flavor is mostly sassafrass, which explains why it could be described as minty root beer.Buy Pepsodent because it is made by the trusted Arm and Hammer people at Church and Dwight, has a tasty flavor, provides good results, and it is the classic old school American toothpaste.

Favorite Toothpaste
This is my favorite toothpaste. It is now not available in stores in New England, where I live. I like this because this is not a strong mint flavor, rather, it has a more subtle sassafras flavor that leaves the mouth fresh. Works well for my teeth and keeps them clean.

Made in USA, Affordable, Solid Quality
Good value for the money, at least when I bought it – $1/tube as of early December 2024. I found Walgreens selling it for the same price online, but didn’t want to pay extra for the shipping on their website when I had a Prime membership.I bought a year’s worth of this stuff (12 tubes) just in case the price goes up in the future, and I may buy another 6 pack or so if the expiration dates on the ones I bought are far enough away… just to take advantage of this price while I can. Companies love to overcharge for stuff these days, so I can’t say how much I appreciate not getting totallly shafted for once. As long as the price stays around the $1 (or less) per 5.5oz range, I’ll keep buying this stuff.They are 5.5oz tubes instead of 6oz which is the only downside, but it’s totally worth it for the price point. A comparably sized tube of the cheapest Colgate toothpaste I could find at a Walmart near me was priced at over $1.50, an unacceptable price when something like this is on the market.

Cheaper than the dollar stores!
The dollar stores usually have Pepsodent, but the tubes now are super tiny compared to these. Pepsodent is by far my favorite budget toothpaste, and the one I use most often.I love seeing on the package “All American Brand”, not something you usually see on products anymore.Some people were commenting on the expiration dates. Mine were good for another 1yr and 7 months. But for me I generally don’t worry about expiration dates, I consider them more as recommendations.I hope this review was helpful for you.

Taste like Pepto bismol
I did not believe the comments at first , but I can confirm that this toothpaste taste exactly like pepto bismol . Have only been using it for a week , but really like how clean my mouth feel. If you cannot handle the taste of pepto bismol , then use a strong mouthwash after brushing your teeth , and you will not taste it .

Love this toothpaste
This is the only toothpaste I have ever found that doesn’t burn my mouth. I can’t find it in stores anymore and was thrilled to find it on Amazon. This is the Pepsodent I have always known and loved, and the price is an amazing value. Don’t hesitate to order, as this is the real deal.
