Iâm in a using non-toxic products phase in my life since I was sick for almost 2 years. I want to replace everything we use in my house. Everything has something thatâs toxic to your body. I have G6PD, which means my blood doesnât have an enzyme that helps protect the red blood cells. Due to this, my body is always trying to keep up producing more red blood cells because my red blood cells are getting destroyed. Reducing the toxic load in the body is very important especially if you have this condition.I bought this item because it didnât have any listed ingredients flagged by EWG or Clearya. If flagging of the ingredients didnât appear, I searched the ingredients one by one in the ewg site to ensure it was in the âgreenâ zone.My husband was okay with this shaving cream. His only comment was âI will need a sharper Gillette â.Only ingredient Iâm not a fan of is potassium sorbate.

Great saving cream
We keep a bottle in the shower and both my husband and I enjoy using this shaving cream. I’m not sure why there was a complaint about the smell as it seems to have very little scent, if any, and my husband is highly sensitive to smells!

The Scent is Not Great
This shaving cream was okay.It’s hard to describe the consistency. It’s not a thick cream at all, and while it doesn’t really feel oily, it reminds me of products I’ve used in the past called “oil creams”. It provides a good amount of slip for shaving. If you are looking for something that really lathers into a nice foam, this is not it. However, if you are accustomed to shaving with products that are more of a non-lathering lotion and that go on clear (or nearly clear), then you’ll probably be okay with the consistency.What you probably won’t like is the aroma. I wouldn’t say it is bad, but I definitely would not have chosen this scent profile. I believe the problem is calendula, which can be a very divisive scent. To make matters worse, it seems they tried to mask it with a citrus-y orange scent that reminds me of cough syrup.While it is not completely off-putting and while I also admire their attempt to keep this product kind of “natural,” I wouldn’t buy this again. I would probably use it if I got it as a gift or at a massive price-cut, but with plenty of other options on the market, I’ll be using something else.
