My new favorite
I have so many anatomy books for artists. There a few great ones but most have been lacking what Ive been looking for. They’re often very flat, inspired illustration. This is a wonderful collection anatomical illustration. Especially The large span of styles and time periods. There are so many different textures in the illustrations that I’ll be referencing in the future. Perfect gift for artist and the oddball people in your life.

An art book about anatomy
I can’t decide if this is an anatomy book, art book or history book. I think it leans more into the art/history genre because so many of the early drawings are inaccurate. Treat this as a book on the artistic history of anatomy and you will be delighted. The actual book quality (binding and paper quality) are top notch as well.

Misread the description
This is more of a history of the artwork with great imagery and very interesting aspects however most the artwork is classic pieces of early medicine. I was hoping for a detail oriented book of the structure of the human body, disappointed at my own negligence but not by the purchase

Un excelente libro de 272 páginas profusamente ilustrado que explora el arte anatómico a lo largo de siete siglos. Para aquellos que están fascinados por los antiguos conceptos artÃsticos del cuerpo humano.
