Dry feet and comfortable
As a golfer I walk the course and wear BAREFOOT shoes. I NEEDED waterproof socks and this is PERFECT.

wet shoes and dry feet
3 hours in the rain. Shoes were soaking wet, but my feet were dry. The socks are light and comfortable. Very happy with the results.

Waterproof to an extent
Did what I asked of them to be fair. I tested it in the tub before taking them out into the real world and I go kayaking multiple times a week. They were waterproof until the water level reached about halfway up my shin. Just where the main color meets the upper color is where the liner ends so I felt water begin to deep down my legs inside the socks. I stepped out of the tub and took them off and sure enough, my ankle was moist, not wet but not dry, and my feet were still dry. So Iâd say they are good for hiking in water higher than the foot but not all the way up the sock. Did great and I didnât expect them to stop water from getting in over the top so they did what they were supposed to do and nothing more. Hopefully this helps!

If youâre a runner, try these out!
I was worried these XS socks would be too big, but they are just small enough. If they were any bigger they would be too big. (In regular shoes, Iâm size 6, running shoes or boots Iâm size 7, sometimes in dress shoes Iâll be as low as 5.5. If your feet are smaller than mine, Iâd recommend going down to the childrenâs version that this company sells.) I have always lived places where it either does not rain much or doesnât rain hard, so Iâve never thought it was a big deal to just run with regular gear and maybe throw a rain shell over top. Every once in along while there would be a big storm and Iâd get soaked to the bone, but no big deal. However, now Iâm somewhere where when it rains it really rains and if I run in the rain, Iâm going to get soaked. So, Iâve done that a bunch of times this year and done with it. I canât wait to try these out on a run. Just testing them out so far, I can tell they wonât breathe well, but if they did, Iâd be worried about their rainproof-ness LOL. If I have a choice between hot feet or soaked and freezing feet, Iâd take the former. Iâm a trail runner, so canât wait to go splashing through puddles! If the socks do not live up to my expectations, Iâll update the review. By the way, Iâm very picky with sock seams and not getting blisters, especially when it comes to running, and I think these seem like theyâre going to be comfortable in that way. They are more bulky than my regular running socks, but I wear the ultrathin socks without padded toes or heels. I would say that the thickness is on par or thinner than the running socks Iâve tried on that have are padded. I tried these on with my running shoes and the shoes are more snug, but not to the point of needing to go up to the next shoe size or squishing my toes or feet. I chose these socks over a shorter pair of waterproof socks (both brands recommended by a runners world article) just because the shorter ones will not stop rain from going down inside the sock. These are waterproof and snug over the ankle, so Iâm confident they will be great. I also love the bright yellow color for street running to make me more visible. Sorry for the ramble – Iâm just really excited to try these out and wanted to make sure I addressed all of the comments other people have made and the questions I had before i bought them 🙂

These worked great!
My wife and I used these socks on an August 2023 trip to Norway. We used these socks twice on that trip. Once on a bike ride from Finse to Flam during Storm Hans, the worst storm to hit southern Norway in 25 years we were told. The other time was a hike to Trolltunga, which it rained for whole ascent to the top. In both cases these socks kept our feet dry and comfortable. These socks certainly got wet, but they kept to moisture away from our feet. We are both very happy with how well these socks performed and have been recommending them to our friends.

Dry and warm
I wore these for 8 days on a hiking trip through Iceland. Feet stayed dry Eve in heavy rain on trails, sleet and snow. I never had cold feet.

Didn’t work for me.
These were purchased on the advice of a friend because they worked for him, but they did not work for me. I was using very breathable hiking shoes on a long hike, almost 500 miles, and these socks were suggested to put on if the shoes got wet, keeping feet dry while allowing the shoes to dry out too. Unfortunately whenever I put the socks on, the moisture on my feet from sweating could not escape, and my feet stayed wet. Also the “waterproof” lining within the sock made it possible for my feet to rotate within my shoe regardless of how snug I laced them up, which I felt made me more at risk for ankle sprains. After a few rainshowers I gave up on these socks, and after rainshowers just went sockless until my feet were dry, which worked better for me.

Actually work
My waterproof shoes were waterproof for 2 weeks right after I bought them. I have to walk through wet grass all the time and it sucks in the winter to have wet feet all day. These socks are awesome. My feet stay dry and warm even though my shoes can be soaked by the end of the day.I laugh when I put the socks on because air gets in there and they bubble up when you first put your toes in. They are more difficult to put on than a regular pair of loose fitting socks. A friend said they looked like compression socks. They don’t feel like that when I wear them though. I think it’s the material and thickness of them. They are comfortable to wear all day and I’m usually on my feet for 12 plus hours a day and walking anywhere between 5 and 9 miles a day. Great price for what you get. Love having dry feet at the end of the day.
