Close, But Not Exactly As Advertised
I’ve had this hair dryer for a few months now and like it but wish I’d gotten a different model, but that’s my peculiarity, perhaps. I love the high/full heat—good power at 1875. The size and weight are fine but the hard sell on the retractable power cord and “foldable” construction…well, not so great. I’ve tried several “methods” to retract the power cord. CAVEAT: I have found that you should stand, hold the dryer overhead and let the cord dangle, in order to get the maximum retraction. Trust me: I’ve tried laying out the cord, perfectly straight and it retracts only about 75%, when you press the black retract button. Then, you have to pull the cord back out about 6”/15cm and press the retract button again, and do this again and again, until you give up.
My other regret is that this model not only didn’t come with a nozzle, I have bought one that with a soft rubber connector, that will give you directed heat, but you cannot use it on high, as the connector gets overheated very quickly.
On the plus side, it works well and quickly for short hair styling with plenty of power to spare. When you turn the power off, it goes off and cools quickly. I like it but had to adapt to be compatible with each other.

The CONAIR Hair Dryer with folding handle and retractable cord is the powerful compact hair dryer that I needed in my life! It fits nicely in my bathroom drawer. And, I can carry the hair dryer in my large purse, gym bag and it packs well any luggage that I use. So, it’s comfortably portable. The price point is excellent. I’m very satisfied with my purchase. Yes, I highly recommend this product.

Doesnt seem like it will hold up
I had an older model of this blow dryer for 14 years and just the other day the prongs on the plug finally broke. I like that it folded up for easy storage so I looked for the same one. Bought this model and it is so cheap feeling that I had to return it. The handle has to be forced to extend and it feels like youre doing something wrong when you force it open. On top of that, the cord doesnt retract all the way no matter how much you press the button and try to feed the cord up into the unit. The retract button jiggles and feels loose but I dont think there is anything wrong with it, it just feels cheap and like it wont hold up long term. The on/off switch also jiggles and feels like it would easily fall off. Drying power is fine but I dont want to keep something that feels cheaply made.

Kinda big and heavy for travel
The power options are just what I need: the high is hot but not too hot and has a strong airflow to dry my hair quickly; the low is a comfortable warm temp for drying pits and toes and such. I like that it has a retractable cord and folds, though it’s still pretty large for travel, I think.
About the retractable cord: some people complained it stopped retracting. Well, the cord is sort of a flat shape and I’ve found that if I hold it so it doesn’t twist as it retracts, it goes all the way in. Also, there’s a red tape mark on the cord, showing how far to pull it out; if it’s too short or too long of that mark, I’ve noticed a couple of times the dryer won’t turn on. Overall I am happy with this purchase

O secador é de boa qualidade. O cabo retrátil é útil para acomodar na mala e em casas pequenas. O cabo é dobrável para reduzir o tamanho. É bivolt, mas poderia mudar de voltagem automaticamente. Ser bivolt é essencial para viagens, pois onde moro é 127v e os hotéis são 220v. Como é importado, o plug é americano. O problema é que o aparelho é de 16 amperes e não se acha adaptador fêmea americana 16 amperes ( o máximo nas tomadas domésticas americanas) para macho 3 pinos 20 amperes. Há risco de incêndio por isso. Lembre sempre de usar em uma tomada 20 amperes. Ele tem boa potência também.
